Abstract:
Cultural expressions: may be considered as the forms in which
traditional culture is expressed; form part of the identity and heritage of a
traditional or indigenous community; are passed down from generation to
generation.

Architecture is the manifestation and expression of culture masked by layers of


abstraction. The gravity to conserve the historic and cultural aspects of
heritage structure.

In this context Jodhpur is an outstanding case where tangible and intangible


heritage are coupled closely but nowadays face a greater risk of loss due to
globalization and lack of awareness among common population and lack of
policy mechanism and enforcement this heritage is being lost.
INTRODUCTION:

. The expression of one's culture highlights the important parts of one's identity and values


system relationships to the land .This interaction between the natural landscape and humans
creates the cultural landscape; thus, it can be seen as the growth of a group identity fostered
by social patterns unique to the group. This gives us the ability to embrace other people who
have different backgrounds on a deeper level by sharing a passion for knowing more and
participating in other culture's rituals, observances.

Whether conveying ancient knowledge of way of life; expressing cultural relationships to the
land; thus, it can be seen as the growth of a group identity fostered by social patterns unique to the

The walled cities and monuments are traditional and of heritage importance, these should be
conserved with adequate care and maintenance. In many walled cities, transformation is taking place,
where mixed use, commercial activities are overtaking the traditional building . In addition, these
cities need development and maintenance. There is a need to explore new direction for the growth of
the cities.

Nowadays due to lack of awareness among common population and lack of policy mechanism and
enforcement this heritage is being lost. Today condition of city walls and gates are very poor. People
have made houses on city walls, somewhere broken the wall to make access, somewhere pasted the
advertisement poster and thrown the garbage destroying it. This focuses on present condition of this
heritage and emphasizes on protection and need of conservation to save our true heritage
Aim:
The Aim is to create spaces for which captivates the unassuming visitors by
stories and representation of the city’s past and present.

Objective:

 Beginning from the core exhibit areas, to the exterior environment,


everything’s should be reflect culture in its own way, to create vibrant
and dynamic experience for visitors.
 The arts and culture should be systematized into one coherent body of
knowledge from inside as well as the outside of the buildings.
 To understand the climatic planning pattern of the settlement
 Culture reflects landscape: to find out the morphology growth pattern the
city’s settlement.
 Culture reflects interiors, the core exhibit areas, reflecting direct culture
knowledge.
