El Filibusterismo and Noli me Tangere were regarded as one of the tools that
sparked Filipino nationalism in the years leading up to the Philippine
Revolution. The story not only awoke a dormant Filipino consciousness, but it
also laid the groundwork for achieving independence. Their nationalism sparked
and paved the way for us Filipinos to stand our ground. Moreover, from
nationalism and patriotism to responsible social and political activity and means
of fighting for what is right, these novels serve as lessons for the generations that
read and take them to heart. Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo had a huge
impact to Rizal and lives of Filipino people before and even now. Noli Me
Tangere is about the reflection of Filipino's before. Rizal wrote it to open the eyes
of Filipino's that they were being oppressed, abused, and accused by the friars. It
serves as an eye opener to those Filipino's that are oblivious about what's
happening on them and their country. El Filibusterismo is the sequel of Noli Me
Tangere. Rizal wrote El Filibusterismo to portray the immoral traits of Spanish
officials. Like Noli Me Tangere, El Filibusterismo aims at enlightening society,
and it helps to bring the Filipinos closer to the truth. In these novels, society is
urged to open its eyes to reality. These two novels brings freedom to every
Filipino's who are being oppressed, abused, and accused by the friars and
Spaniards before. And these novels are now considered as his literary
masterpieces, both indirectly sparked the Philippine Revolution. A notable
passage from the novel was found at the end, and it came from Elias when he
told Basilio these words: I shall die without seeing the dawn break upon my
homeland. You, who shall see it, salute it! Do not forget those who have fallen
during the night.” These words are a message not only to Basilio, but to all of us
who grew up in a time of independence and freedom. It was a statement
reminding us not to forget the sacrifices, lives, and deaths made by countless
Filipinos in exchange for our current freedom. It serves as a reminder to us, the
new generation, of our need and responsibility to persist and fight for our nation
in the same way that those who have gone before us have. We, as Filipinos,
should be proud of what our nation has accomplished, and we will continue to
foster its development in the direction of a brighter future.

2. "A person who loves his own language will strive for liberty". This quotation of
Rizal means that if you do truly love your own language you will strive for
liberty. Language is all the words used by a group of people. We understand
each other because of our own language that made us unique from others. Rizal
strives for liberty because he really loves his own language. If he didn't love his
own language, maybe he would just gave up and let those conquerors conquer
us. But he didn't give up, why? Because he loves his own language as long as his
country. He didn't want to change our language into other languages that we
hear from other countries/ kinds of people. If he didn't fight for liberty, maybe
we're now speaking "Spanish" and other languages. Maybe there are no
"Filipino" words that are existing in this era. Maybe we don't know how to speak
"Tagalog" "Hiligaynon" "Bisaya" ,etc. "Kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan". This
other quote of Rizal implies the future youth. He is looking forward to the future
youth. The youths are the hope of our country. By the youths we can preserve
our language for the next generation. If the youths will love their own language
they will also strive for liberty and seek for freedom like Rizal did before. These
two quotations of Rizal are connected because the youths are the only hope of
our country to preserve our own language and by preserving it the youths are
the one who will strive for liberty when the conquerors come again to conquer
us. The two connects with each other by. The moral lesson in it. Because by the
help of kabataan we can have a better and beautiful future of our country.
Kabataan can help the Filipino language famous in others country in a positive
way. When they get their bachelor's degree and independent enough to stand on
their own.By their voices we can say that the Filipino language will be famous all
over the world. By the help of our country leaders we can have an bright future .
