My Commitment

Filipino core values, for most of it, can be summarized to the four core values , maka-Diyos, makatao,
makabansa, and makakalikasan.

To be a maka-Diyos is not about perfect attendance to church and its activities, yet counted. So, I would
take part in these ways. As well as strengthen my relationship with God by meditations and prayers.

To be makatao, I would open my mind to diversities, and give respect where it is due. I know that times
come that I don't have to understand people. As long there's no harm, respect must be provided. Also by
cooperating in actions for public welfare.

To be makabansa is to be proud of our own. I would promote Filipino-made products, admire Filipinos
achievements, and be an instrument for our country to be renown.

To be makakalikasan is to be an agent of ecological balance. It doesn't end by being in programs that

restore nature and help animals. It could also be inventing advancements to stop deteriorating earth
respectively.

I will express my commitment to uphold these values in support of NSTP activities and as an individual by
simply taking these all into my heart and show it in my actions. The next thing that I would do is to preach
the process and the goodness of embodying these values in life. This would allow me to enforce the values
to myself constantly as I must practice what I preached. By these as well, I can support NSTP activities and
be a good citizen. After all, the goal of core values, NSTP, and each Filipino is to be the best version of
themselves. Being our best versions can bring an enormous beautiful change in the state of our nation. I
and each individual run this land (Philippines) so only together we can make progress.
