Listening Section
In this section of the test, you will have the chance to show how well you understand
spoken English. There are four parts to this section, with special directions for each part.

Part 1: Pictures
Question 1 to 3
Directions
For each item, there is a picture in your test book and four statements about it on the
tape. They are spoken TWICE, and are NOT WRITTEN out on your test book, so you must
listen to them carefully. You must choose one sentence, (A), (B), (C) or (D),- that best
describes the picture. Then, on your answer sheet, mark your choice.

Example:
Look at the picture and listen to the four sentences

A: They're leaving the room

B: They're turning on the machine
C: They're standing near the table
D: They're reading the newspaper

Statement (C), “They’re standing near the table,” is the best description of the picture,
so you should select answer (C) and mark it on your answer sheet.
Let’s begin with question number 1.
Number 1

A. The man and the woman are both using paint brushes.
B. They are painting the roof of the house.
C. The man is wearing a white top.
D. The woman is using a paint roller.

Number 2
Look at picture number 2

A. There are a lot of books near monitor

B. The CPU is on the table
C. The printer is above fax machine

Number 3
Look at picture number 3

A. The older man is obviously not happy with his glasses.

B. Both of them are wearing hats
C. The older man has a white beard.
D. The optician is wearing glasses

Part II: Questions and Responses

Questions 4 to 7
Directions
Directions: In this part of the test, you will hear several question spoken in English,
followed by three responses, also spoken in English. The questions and responses will
be spoken TWICE. They will not be printed in your test book, so you must listen to
them carefully to understand what the speakers say. You have to choose the best
response to each question.

For example:
You will hear : Where is the meeting room?
You will also hear :
(A) To meet the new director.
(B) It’s the first room on the right.
(C) Yes, at two o’clock.

Choice (B)- “It’s the first room on the right,” – is the best answer to the question “Where
is the meeting room?”. Therefore, you should mark (B) on your answer sheet.

Now let’s begin with question number 4

Part III. Short Conversation

Questions 8 to 11.
Direction: In this section of the test, you will hear several short conversations. You will
hear the conversations TWICE. The conversation will not be printed on your test book,
so you must listen to them carefully to understand what the speakers says.

In your test book, you will read a question about each conversation. The question will
be followed by four answers. You have to choose the best answer to each question, and
mark it on your answer sheet

Example:
You will hear :
Girl : Are you sixteen yet?
Boy : Not yet, but my birthday is in March.
Girl : When in March?
Boy : It is March 20'h.

You will read: What do you learn from the conversation?

A. The girl is sixteen years old.
B. The boy is twenty years old.
C. The boy was born in March.
D. The girl's birthday is March 20.

Choice (c) — "The boy was born in March" — best answers the question “What do you
learn from the conversation?” Therefore, you should mark (c) on your answer sheet.
8. Man : Do you drive to work?
Woman : No, I don’t. I take the train. I hate to park in the city
Man : I always drive . So, What do you do?
Woman : I am a secretary

Part IV. Short Talk.

Questions 12 to 15.
Directions:
In this part of the test, you will hear several short talks. Each will be spoken TWICE.
They will not be printed in your test book, so you must listen carefully to understand
and remember what is said.
In your test book, you will read two or more questions about each short talk. Each
question will be followed by four answers. You have to choose the best answer to each
question and mark it on your answer sheet.
Question 12-13 refer to the following procedure
Well everybody, let me tell you how to install the BX cartridge. First, plug the printer
in. Please, don’t turn your computer on. Then, open the front door and cartridge
holder move to the center. Unpack the BX cartridge and remove the protective cap and
tape from the cartridge. After that, place the BX cartridge by lowering the level .
Finally, close the cover and the printer is ready for operation.
