I’m solving the financial inclusion challenge of

Africa in the next 10 years.
Financial inclusion is the
driver for a sustainable city.
Problem
More than 50% of East Africans
earn or live below $1 per day.
This indicates that majority cannot
access financial services because their
income cannot allow them to open or
maintain a bank account. This locks
them out of financial inclusion.
Problem
80% of banks believe that mobile
money solutions are preferred
by younger generations , and they
are looking to increase provision to
respond to this.
Solution
With Repay, our mobile payment & money
transfer technology we will enable
more than 50% to have access to
financial services , this will enable
Yurie to send money back to his parents
in rural Kisumu who happen to be
sugarcane farmers.
Solution

Our service will enable urban dwellers to pay their utilities e.g.
electricity, water, train and movie tickets through their mobile
phone at their own convenience.
How will we
Achieve this?
Through Repay Mobile Wallet App &
Repay USSD app for feature phones.
Competition

Repay will be successful because we’re targeting the unbanked

and the segment that the three competitors have not been able
to reach. This segment is larger than their current market share
combined.
Market
60% of transactions in Kenya are still made through cash,
30% mobile money trailed by card transactions at 10%.
With Repay we’re targeting the larger 60% who still prefer to
transact using cash.
We believe they’re not financially included due to lack of
bank accounts or access to financial services.
Traction
We are launching repay wallet app in September
this year, we already have our backend.
Our Minimal Viable Product (MVP) Platform is
ready for signup and scaling.
We launched a beta website www.repay.africa
and already we have over 2,000 visitors and 300
inquiries of how to use our product or download
the app.
Traction
Our entire team has more than 10 years’ experience in the
finance, payment & banking industry.
Our 3 developers: Claude & Fred have a 5-year experience
combined and myself having worked 6 years in developing
core banking systems.
Janet heading finance has more than 3 year of banking
experience and Finance.
Kevin with 7 years of business development & Software sales.
Our mentor Samwel has more than 13 years in financial
planning & Project/grant Management in NGO’s, he has
managed various funds/grants in major NGO’s in Kenya.
Future
We’re planning to Two years after Within 5 years
enroll at least 20% launching we’re we’re intending to
of the Kenyan planning to enter enter S. Sudan,
market to use our the Rwandan and Ugandan, and
product in the next Ethiopian market Tanzanian market.
