Seahawks Vs Vikings

Injury Report

Issue #2

By: Carter Grusz

The Latest
Both teams heading into week three of the NFL season are looking fairly healthy. However, that doesn’t leave
both teams with no injury concerns heading into a critical NFC showdown.

Seahawks Injury Report

The Seahawks are coming into the game with most of their starters healthy however as indicated throughout the
week their injury report was a little longer than it usually has been this season. On Thursday a grand total of 11
players were on the injury report with only 3 of those players not participating at all. On Friday the Seahawks
released their final injury report and made their official decisions on who to play and not to play. A grand total
of 3 Players were officially not able to suit up Sunday. The first one is running back Rashaad Penny as he is
predictably out with a calf injury which he sustained in the Seahawks week 1 win over the Colts. The second
player ruled out for the Hawks for this Sunday’s contest was wide receiver D’Wayne Eskridge who is out for
the second straight week due to a concussion. The third and final player ruled out for the Hawks this Sunday is
offensive tackle Brandon Shell who in last week’s overtime loss to the Titans near the end of the game suffered
an ankle injury. One player for the Seahawks who has been listed as questionable is defensive end Benson
Mayowa who is dealing with a neck injury. On the good side of things defensive tackle Bryan Mone is back for
the Hawks after missing Sunday’s contest vs the Titans.

Vikings Injury Report

The Vikings like the Seahawks are coming into this matchup very healthy however just like the Seahawks they
also have their fair share of injury concerns heading into this matchup. On Thursday the Vikings had a
somewhat long injury report as they listed a grand total of 7 players, however only 1 out of those 7 of them
didn’t participate at all. On Friday the Vikings released their final injury report and made their decisions o who
they should and shouldn’t play. A grand total of 3 players were officially ruled out for Sunday’s contest. The
first one ruled out for Sunday was linebacker Anthony Barr who is currently dealing with a knee injury. The
second player to get ruled out for the Vikings was Christian Darrisaw who is currently battling a groin injury.
The third and final player that was ruled out Friday for the Vikings was cornerback Harrison Hand. One player
for the Vikings who has been listed as questionable is running back Dalvin Cook. Dalvin Cook in last week’s
loss to the Cardinals suffered an ankle injury and as a result hasn’t practiced all week. The Vikings all week
have said he will be playing on Sunday however his latest designation on the injury report says otherwise since
they now think their isn’t a 100% he will be suiting up Sunday. If he were not to play on Sunday this would be a
major loss for the Vikings as he is arguably their best player on offense. If Dalvin Cook can’t play Sunday, then
his back up Alexander Mattison will fill in his role for him.
