Electricity Safety
Only connect the power cord to the voltage rating that matches it on the
rating plate to avoid danger such as electric shock or fire. And be sure the electric
outlet is in an inside location to protect from moisture.
Be sure the power cord not to be bent by force and do not put a heavy object on it
to avoid any electric leakage or damage.
Do not pull the power plug from the outlet with a wet hand or get the plug wet to
avoid electric shock.
Never splash the water filtration system with water to avoid the risk of electric shock.
Keep the cord out of heavy traffic areas. To avoid fire hazard, NEVER put the cord
under rugs, near heat resisters, radiator, stoves, or heaters.
Do not use a damaged power cord or plug, and loose consent where the plug
cannot be inserted securely to avoid fire or shock hazard. If the power cord is
damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly
qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
Remove the power plug when not using for an extended period of time. Insulation
may deteriorate, causing short circuit, fire and/or electrical shock as a result.
Periodically remove dust from the power plug with a dry cloth. Dust build-up can
cause bad insulation and a fire may occur as a result.
Keep the water filtration system out of direct sunlight. The sun's heat may distort
non-metallic parts and may damage the electronics.
Do not install the water filtration system where it could freeze. Freezing damage is
not covered by the warranty.
Keep the water filtration system away from place being humid and dust rising place
to avoid electric shock and fire. Never splash the water filtration system with water to
avoid the risk of electric shock.
If the water pressure at house is over the maximum working pressure of the water
filtration system (referring to the rating plate), install a pressure reducing valve in the
water supply line to it.
Only connect the water filtration system to cold water pipe. Do not run hot water
over 104℉(40℃) through it. It will defect the filters of the water filtration system .
When water is stored or the product is not in use for a long time, discharge all the
water in the storage tank before use.
Install it more than 3.9inches(10cm) away from the wall for normal operation of
heater and compressor.
Do not repair, disassemble or modify. Fire and/or electrical shock may occur as a
result. For repair, contact your dealer of purchase or A/S center of Coway.
Do not allow the foreign or unexpected material into the storage tank. The filtered
water in the storage tank may be deteriorate as a result.
Immediately plug out in the case of a smoke or smell of fire to call to A/S center of
Coway. Electric shock or fire may occur as a result.
Plug out and call to A/S center of Coway in the case of any leakage from the product.

Note According to the water temperature of season, the actual amount of filtered water
may vary slightly.
Plus-Sediment Filter
Using a step-by-step filtration method per pore, this filter effectively reduces various
foreign bodies that come from the feed water pipe such as bits of rust and also protects
the membrane. The Plus-Sediment filter vastly reduces dirt, sand, rust particles, and other
sediment.
Pre-Carbon Filter
The activated carbon filter reduces chlorine, fluoride, odor, tri-halo methane, gas additive
MTBE, and organic pollutants such as pesticides, EDB, PCB, benzene, and TCE.
Post-Carbon Filter
Made using coconut, this filter reduces unpleasant smell from water and enhances water
flavor.
UV Lamp
UV lamp circulates the treated water inside the reservoir tank so that it prevents
secondary contamination inside it
Note This reverse osmosis system contains a replaceable treatment component, critical for the
effective reduction of total dissolved solids and that product water shall be tested
periodically to verify that the system is performing properly. Replacement of the reverse
osmosis component should be with one of identical specifications, as defined by the
manufacturer, to assure the same efficiency and contaminant reduction performance.
Note Efficiency rating means the percentage of the influent water to the system that is available
to the user as reverse osmosis treated water under operating conditions that approximate
typical daily usage.
The disposed water shall be used for cleaning a toilet, a house, dishes, and
as water for sundry uses. However, please do not use it for potable water or
cooking water.
10
Installation of the water filtration system must comply with existing state or
local plumbing codes. After installation the power supply cord and plug shall
be accessible.
Note After installed, moved, and severely shaken, about 30minutes are needed for stabilization
of cooling device before using the product.

1 Regulator
- Use : It uniformly keeps the water pressure of the system inside.
- Operation Principle : It keeps the pressure of supplying water under the setting
pressure by utilizing the spring tension.
2 Thermistor
- Use : It controls the temperature of the cold water.
- Operation Principle : It controls the operation of compressor detecting the temperature of
the compressor by change of resistance that varies rapidly and predictably with temperature.
3 Plus-Sediment Filter
- Material : Polypropylene
- Feature : By using a cartridge filter which has a stage-by-stage filtration method in
accordance with the size of pore, the early clogging condition of filter has been improved.
4 Pre-Carbon Filter
- Material : 12 x 30 mesh by granular activated carbon of coconut.
- Feature : It has an outstanding ability to reduce carcinogenic substance (THMs) and
organic chemical substance.
6 Post-Carbon Filter
- Material : 20 x 40 mesh by silver-added activated carbon of coconut.
- Feature : It improves hygienic condition and taste of water by adding the silver- added
activated carbon to reduce odor in the water and prevent proliferation of microbe.

Innowave strongly recommended that any installation, filter replacement, and repair be
performed by a qualified man or an educated service man because system or electronic
components could cause danger.
This installation manual includes the contents from installation and product use. Do not use any
kinds of filters and components made by other companies to avoid a product damage not
covered by Innowave.
INSTALLER RESPONSIBILITY : The water supply valve (page 3 and 5) is included for use in
areas where codes permit. Installer must comply with state and/or local codes. If not, the installer
must provide fittings to tap the cold water pipe for a feed water source to Innowave’s water
filtration system (must adapt to 1/4〃 tubing).
