Q 1. Describe the product of said organization .if organization is offering many products then
student needs to comment on the product design of any one selected product.student may add the
photograph of the selected product in the report.

ANS) vijaya milk and milk processing unit several dairy products such as :

 Milk
 Curd
 Buttermilk
 Ghee
 Butter
 Panner
 Basundhi
 Lassi
 Badam milk
 Doodh peda
The product which I have selected here is :

DOODH PEDA

Doodh peda is a by- product of milk ,doodh peda is commonly known as palkova in our
loacality and it tastes very sweet . doodh peda which is manufactured in vijaya dairy is famous
in andhrapradesh.there are several other dairies which manufacture doodh peda , but only the
product which is offered nd made in vijaya dairy is trusted here and it is known for its taste.thr
targeted customers are from children to old age people.

There are several milk producers and companies but I choose here the product of vijaya dairy.

 On the top it shows an symbol of cow.

 The box which contsin is made up of paper nd also there will be packing in the box in
a plastic cover.

 The packing and the taste defines how pure the product is made up of .

 And this is completely a vegetarian food.

 And this product should be used with in five days from the date of manufacture.
Q 2. Who will be the targeted customers of the said organization /product ?in what ways the
customers of said organization are most likely to judge the quality of offered product or
services?

Ans ) The prospective customers of the product will be –

 All age groups

 As this is a dairy product it can be consumed by all the age groups of people
from children to old age people.

 Food industry

The quality of this product is judged upon the :

 How pure the product is

 Brand name (vijaya dairy)

 Is it effective

 Packing

 Taste

There are several competitors for vijaya dairy in the dairy products industry , but no one can beat
them in the quality as well as taste the vijaya dairy is maintaining.but the cost of products
offered by this dairy are comparatively high , when compared to competitors.

Vijaya dairy is famous for its brand name .And the people here trust the vijaya
dairy like that as it maintain quality in the products as well as packing the products .
Q 3 . comment upon the production process of the said organization .
Ans) The production process is as follows :

Cows grazing : The cows has to be maintsained in a clean ienvironment. We should take care of
the grass and water and other food which will help to increase the productivity of milk.
They have to be washed daily and we should take care of them even at nights by arranginf a
mosquito net in the cow shed .
We should take care of their health and have to maintain regular check up.

Milking machine : The milk will be procured from the cow twice a day.

Refrigeration storage : the milk which is procured from cows are to be refrigerated in
refrigitation storage .

Milk tanker daily : the milk tanker have to deliver the milk to the dairy from the refrigeration
centre.

Dairy : when the milk has reached to dairy they will process the milk pack thrm in a proper
way.the milk which is packed is deliverd to super markets and shops .

And also from the milk they manufacture by-products likr curd, butter milk, cheese , butter ,
panner, doodh peda..etc.
Q 4 . what kind of things would likely require to forecasts in the said organization?

Ans ) Forecasting - a planning tool that helps management in its attempts to cope
uncertainity in the future relying mainly on data from the past and present ,and analysis of
trends.
Forecasts can be used to predict events over different time horizons :

Short range : these forecasts are usually 3 months into the future .they are most often used for
hiring, scheduling, determining production levels of planning processes.

Medium range : this is usually 3 months to a year in the future .those forecasts are used for
budgeting, sales and demand planning.

Long range : these forecast 3 yrs or more into the future .its used for capital expenditures,
relocation and expansion, and research and development.

There are 3 types of forecasting , regardless of time horizon ,that are used by
organizations.

1 . Economic forecasts :

It is the process of making predictions about the economy , they predict


inflation rates, money supplies , and other indicators.

Vijaya dairy has increased its prices , but due to the good quality maintained by the
oraganisation they didn’t loose any single customer of the mentioned organization.

2 .Technological forecasts :

This keeps an organization abreast of trends and can result in exciting new
products.new production process require new equipment and facilities, which must be planned
for in the appropriate time frame.

In vijaya dairy they have already changed their production process and they are using
the lstest technologies in the organization.bur they have to be updated in maintsining thre
records of administrative works, as they are still maintaining the paper pen model.
3. demand forecasts : it deal with the organization product and prediction sabout the
demand.

The vijaya dairy is always advanced in predicting the customer demand , when there are special
events like festivals, marriage season, summer demand etc..there will be no shortage of ant of the
products in the organization.

Q 5 . Critically evaluate the location of the said organization.

Ans ) Location evaluation on the basis of :

1. Customer proximity

2. Transport facility

3. Availability of skilled labour

1. Customer proximity :

The outlets of the vijaya dairy are avsailabel in each supermarket, shops, and their
dealers in rural areas. As the products are reaching upto the villages its easy for
the customers to get the products of vijaya dairy.

2. Transport facility :

As the organization and the outlets of the dairy are on the


highways as well as in the villages . there is continuous transport facility to the
dairy location and outlets.

3. Availability of skilled labour :


As this is a dairy products manufacturing unit , it requires more labour and staff inside the
organization.the unit is located in the semi-urban area, there are several women also woeking in
the unit .unit has an advantage where a lot of labourers are available.
