(1) Was the closure of ABS-CBN in your own personal opinion, a move related to crab mentality?

Why? 

 Yes, the closure of ABS - CBN signifies crab mentality. And especially those
members of the House of Representatives that voted for the closure of the ABS -
CBN. This kind of people has lots of reasons, and they will do all means just to
ensure the closure of this huge network. It was during these hardest times that
we should be connected but what they did displace the right of every person to
hear the news and be aware of his/her surroundings.

(2) Is the closing of ABS-CBN during the times of great Pandemic and Typhoons beneficial to
government and the progress of the whole country? Why?

 It was a great loss of information dissemination. And it has effects on the

progress of our country as well. The ABS - CBN is a huge network that could
reach several remote areas. Furthermore, the closing of this network has no
benefit to our government but it just brings a great loss to more means of
information during the typhoon and the present pandemic that we are facing.
Moreover, this network also provides the daily needs of people whenever
calamities or pandemics occur. But right now, several people were suffering and
our government cannot even aid their daily needs. This is just a complete slap on
the faces of our government officials. 

(3) Hypothetical Question: Do you think, if ABS-CBN was not closed, will there be lessened deaths and
accidents caused by the typhoon in the hard hit areas recently? Why?

 Possibly yes, the dissemination of news during this time is very crucial. Especially
during the typhoon. It is undeniably true that ABS - CBN could reach much
further than other news networks that we have here in the Philippines, and it was
surely helpful if the people could be reached by the news. But there is no proper
equation that it could lessen the deaths and accidents during the typhoon but it
is possible. Early and proper dissemination of news can help those people that
are vulnerable to flee and ready themselves.
