3 questions to answer

1. State some lessons we can learn from the life of Jose Rizal.

 Focus on your goal(s)

Rizal's only guiding principle was to combat social injustice. He wished to set his fellow
Filipinos free day and night. Rizal rose to prominence as the head of Propaganda, a
persistent movement for political and social liberties.

He published numerous articles for La Solidaridad and even two novels to expose the
crimes committed by the Spanish colonists. These resulted in his murder, yet he passed
away a hero.

 Keep personal life away from your work

The times have changed since Rizal's time. It's no longer as tough. Distractions continue
to exist, though! Distractions must be kept away from work.

Rizal was so committed to his goal that he wouldn't even let his family or his own
feelings get in the way of it.

 Use your time to the fullest

Rizal dedicated a lot of his time to developing himself through self-education. He was not
only occupied with his academic work but also with learning sculpture, art, languages,
especially German, and being current with debates about philosophy and science around
the world.
 There’s a virtue in giving

Rizal always lived comfortably, postponing outings to finish his medical schooling and
going without food at meals to pay the rent.

Even though he won the lottery, he donated all of his money to Dapitan in order to create
a school where he taught, provided free medical care, and built a water and light
infrastructure.

2. In your own words, explain the significance of Rizal's Law to this present time.

 The Rizal Law, also known as Republic Act 1425, is significant in both social and
political spheres. It offers solutions for dealing with contemporary issues. It is a history
subject, thus it is full with historical details that can help us understand who we are as
Filipinos. Understanding how things evolve through time and gaining insight into the
future are both possible thanks to learning from the past. Learning about our country's
history helps us comprehend it better. It enables us to draw lessons from the past, which
aids us in planning our strategy for the future. National historical hero Jose Rizal has
greatly influenced how we view our collective experience and sense of self as Filipinos.
Solving the problems we face in our neighborhood and even society has an impact on the
choices we make in our own lives. By appreciating the influence of nationalism,
patriotism, national consciousness, and moral uprightness, it enables us to become
properly educated and to respect a peaceful and prosperous nation.

3. There are other Filipino heroes.  Do you think their lives are also worth studying like
Rizal's?  Justify your answer.

 Of course, the main reason we study Rizal and other Filipino heroes is because they both
contributed to the achievement of our freedom. They were all legends of their own
stories, stories that strongly inspired the reader because they were each heroes of their
own.
