1. Discuss the process of thorough investigation conducted by the Catholic

Church and the areas that are covered by such investigation before a
decision is arrived at for one to be canonized as a saint. (20 pts.)

2. In the process of investigation, when experts cannot find any explanation to

a reported miracle supposedly associated with a candidate for sainthood,
the Catholic Church does not declare the phenomenon as a miracle but, it’s
just that they could not find any natural explanation for it. (20 pts.)

a. Explain your perception of this ACT/DECISION on the part of the Catholic

Church. Doesn’t the Catholic Church believe in miracle/s?

b. Do you believe that these phenomena associated with saints are true
miracles? Why or why not?

3. Compare and contrast the sainthood of St. Augustine and St. Sebastian
given that one was a theologian and the other was a soldier, who are two
totally different individuals. What conclusion/s can we make about the
concept of sainthood based on the lives of the aforementioned saints.

 4. A. Explain why Interiority is a significant aspect of Augustinian
spirituality. (10 pts.)

B. Discuss the how the core Augustinian value of community life is

based on a “loving tie” that mutually binds people together. (10 pts.)

C. Explain why the Augustinian value of service is characterized by

humility and charity. (10 pts.)

5. Explain how the Order of Augustinian Recollect family had effectively

promoted the Order’s end values of caritas et scientia in their works in
countries throughout the world including the Philippines. (20 pts.)
