Anthony Giddens defined Globalization as the intensification of worldwide social

relation which link distant localities in such a way that local happenings are shaped by
events occurring many miles away and vice versa. Further, he stresses the
interconnectedness in our world. This means a change in our understanding of
geography and our perception of locality. In addition to providing opportunities, it also
carries significant risks associated with, for example, technological change. This means
that the defenition of Giddens is about the technological Globalization
On the other hand, Roland Robertson defined Globalization as a concept refers both to
the compression of the world and the intensification of consciousness of the world as a
whole. Which has been credited as the first ever definition of globalization. In my
opinion, Globalization means cooperation and we all need unity. To do so, we must
connect and understand one another as the world changes and grows, we must remain
together so that we can call ourselves a good world citizens with a worldwide ethical
responsibility. This means that the definition of Robertson is about cultural and social
globalization
Therefore, both definitions have a point regarding globalization, they demonstrate how
the world works in relation to certain classifications and principles.
