1. What beliefs do we carry about the concepts of love and respect?


For me Love is difficult to understand because there are so many kinds of love, love to your
parents, love to your friends and etc. but for me when you genuinely happy and contented to
that person, that is love.
We know that respect is important to us, we need to respect other so that they will also
respect us. But in my opinion and beliefs, just respect those people who has a respect and
also respect you.
2. What characteristics do I value in relationships; including romantic relationships and
platonic relationships?

Mutual Respect - You acknowledge and respect each other, even if your views differ.
Reciprocity- This is the give-and-take in a relationship.
Commitment - You pledge responsibility to each other in good times and bad.
Communication - Healthy communication means you both can discuss issues in a mature way
with mutual respect.
Mutual trust - Trusting your partner completely allows you to be free to be vulnerable in the
relationship because you know you are loved and accepted for who you are.
Boundaries - In a healthy relationship, you know and respect each other’s boundaries: what you
will or will not accept in terms of other people’s behaviors or demands upon you.
Shared Values - This is the glue that keeps you together. You can have differences of opinion,
but if you have shared values, your relationship will survive.
Flexibility - As a couple, being open to change as well as allowing each other to explore and
grow is important. 

4. In the quest of building healthy relationships what could my future relationships


look like?
Building Healthy relationships involve honesty, trust, respect and open communication
between partners and they take effort and compromise from both people. There is no imbalance
of power. Partners respect each other’s independence, can make their own decisions without fear
of retribution or retaliation, and share decisions. So if you build healthy relationship the future of
your relationship could like, full of happiness and less of arguing each other, we can’t avoid
arguing in relationship but when you are in a healthy relationship it will not be last longer to
fight each other because you know your limit and u respect and understand each other.
