My name is Fiona Fernandez Lozano.

My parents told me that my given name came from the

animated film called Shrek. One of the main characters in that film is Princess Fiona, the wife of
the main character, Shrek. My parents and some of my relatives and friends call me Ponang as
my nickname. I am 19 years old and I was born on December 29, 2001, in Urdaneta City. I live
in Villasis, Pangasinan with my mom, my sister, and my five dogs. My father has been an
overseas Filipino worker for longer than I have lived in this world. Once a year he goes home
here in the Philippines to be with us, and have a vacation for a month.
One thing you should know about me is that I am a reserved person, but I consider myself to be
a very out-going, spontaneous girl with a sense of humor. Some of my main hobbies and
interests are singing, listening to music, and cooking. If I am not doing one of these things, I’m
either eating, watching movies, or sleeping.
If I have to describe myself with a quotation, the quote would be “Live as if you were to die
tomorrow, learn as if you were to live forever”- Mahatma Gandhi. This means to me that I should
be living my life to the fullest and never holding back on any obstacle I face and never be afraid
to try something new. This quote clearly expresses who I am now. I learned to push myself to
take advantage of the many opportunities I have around myself today while challenging myself
in life every day.
