Guideline for the Inspection of inflatable life vests

The vests should be folded up according to this instruction, to guarantee a reliable function
whatever happens.
Please see instructions for advice regarding the ventilation of the vest and repeated
readiness for use!

The life vest in an aired and unfolded


state. On the left side you will find the
release line which is pulled by hand.
On the right side you find the mouth
tube and the rescue strap. The vest
needs to be in a dry and clean
condition before folding up!

Please move the rescue strap upwards


towards the mouth tube, then turn
downwards the lower 2 cm of the
buoyancy body.
Please check now the CO² cylinder
(expire date) and the condition of the
salt tablet

Please fold the right outside of the


breast part of the buoyancy body
around the mouth tube, then the left
side on top. Then close the protective
cover over this part.

Please turn downwards the lower 2 cm
of the buoyancy body. Then fold the
right side towards the automatic device
and under the rim of the automatic
device.

Then close the protective cover over


this part. In doing so, move the handle
for the manual release outwards!

Now you can see the neck part


sticking out of the buoyancy body.

Now you fold this part in a zigzag line
once forward towards the breast clasp
and then backwards again. In doing
so, you press the protruding corners
inwards.

Now the protective cover can also be


closed in the neck area.

The life vest folded up in this way can


be used again.
After the inspection a corresponding
mark should be made in the
maintenance plan and the inspection
seal should be renewed.
