As shown in the table 2, out of the 50 respondents most of them are

female with the response of 30 respondents while the other 20 respondents are

male in terms of sex. Majority of them are ages 17 years old with 24

respondents. For their strand and block STEM-D has the most number of the

broken family. The most answered in terms of the number of their siblings

including the respondents was 2. As of with whom they are living with the

majority of the answer was they are with their mother. In terms of how long they

has a broken family the most answered was since birth. The majority of the

answers were other issues like early pregnancy and about of the family of both

sides in terms of reason why they parents split up. As their monthly income most

of them has receiving 15,000-20,000 a month.

The Level of the Study Habits on being into a Broken Family

As revealed on the table, most of the respondent’s rate question number

one sometimes with the number of 22, other answers were often with the number

of 18, 6 at seldom, 4 at always and 1 respondent answered never. The least in

question number two was always with 1, followed by often with 7 respondents

and 9 at never. Furthermore the number of seldom is 15 and the majority number

is sometimes at 18. On question number three, two brackets has the same

number with 13 respondents whereas both seldom and never have. There are 16

pupils who answered it with sometimes and the left 8 respondents answered

often. The respondents felt more inspired because it’s for their future due to their

answers in the researcher’s questionnaire-checklist, always gained 29. Both

often and sometimes got the number of 10 and 1 answered seldom. Plenty of

them answered sometimes to the question number 5 with the number of 17, least

answer was never with the number of 9. But some answer often with the number

of 12 and 11 for seldom. Question number 6, least of them answered never with

the number of 2, followed by 3 for seldom, 12 for often, 15 for always, and lastly

sometimes with the number of 18. Seldom has the most answered by the

respondents with the number of 17 for question number 7, 14 at sometimes, 11

at never, 7 at often and 1 at always. Lastly the most of the respondent’s answers

with question number 8 was never with the number of 33, seldom at 8, both often

and sometimes have the number 4 and least of them was always with 1. Finally,

question numbers 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 has the majority answer with sometimes,

while question number 4 has the majority with the answer always. Question

number 7 has the most answered with seldom and question number 8 has the

most answer with never.

The Personal Factors of having a Broken Family of an Individual

As revealed in the table, sometimes is the majority’s answer if there are

instances that he/she decided to live on his/her own with the number of 19, it is

followed by the number 13 who answered never, while there are some

respondents that thought to be on their own, with the answer of always with 4

respondents, both of seldom and often has the number of 7. There are

circumstances with the respondents who are curious about what happened to

their parent’s relationship, so that 7 of the respondents approaches their parents

and ask something about it, but the majority is on sometimes with the number of

know what happened to their relationship so the answered never with the number

of 16, while often at 6 and seldom at 4. Although they have a broken family their

parents give their time and care that they need, because 18 of the respondents

answered always, followed by often with the number of 16, 12 at sometimes, 3 at

seldom and never with the number of 1. The majority of question number 4

results that their parents support them in their financial aspect with the number of

31 respondents, while often at 9 and 6 at sometimes. The parents also support

their children on their educational aspect with the number of 31 but 1 of the

respondent answered never, maybe his/her parents doesn’t support him/her,

often at 7, sometimes at 6 and 5 respondents answered seldom. On the last

question, sometimes with the number of 11 is not the majority but as we

elaborate their answers, we can say that they are finding or longing for a happy

and complete family, hence the majority is always with the number of 19, often

with the number of 9, also in never with the number of 8 we can say that they are

not happy because their family is broken, and 3 at seldom. Finally, question

numbers 1 and 2 has the majority answer with sometimes and 3, 4, 5, and 6 has

the majority answer with always.

Action Plan to improve The Academic Performance of the Students from


Broken Family

The researcher’s action plan is to conduct a seminars or symposiums to

educate parents and students on how to get by with their problems and for some

instances to help the students on how to handle their problems if different

situations.
