    BOWEN ITCO SPEAR PROCEDURES

    1) Check grapple size against fish or casing ID.

    2) Secure grapple in catch position if possible Trip in with assy.

    3) Record Wt up_____ Wt dn _____ Wt rotating ____ Rotating torque _____


    Pump stks _____ Press _____

    4) Slowly travel down into fish or casing, going into a fish is normally indicated
    by a pressure increase if a spear pack off is run, and a decrease in string weight.

    5) Land out against spear stop ring.

    6) Rotate string to have at least one full turn at the spear.

    7) Fish caught will be indicated by a pressure increase.

    8) To release the spear, bump down, rotate string to the right while picking up
    the string slowly.

    BOTTOM HOLE ASSEMBLY

    1 Spear complete with bull nose or spear pack – off if required and bull nose
    2 Stop sub
    3 Bumper sub
    4 Fishing Jar
    5 Drill collars
    6 Slinger ( Accelerator )
    7 Drill collars
    8 Pipe to surface.

    To release from fish bump down and rotate string to the right then pick up slow.
