TEN (10) THINGS TO BOOST YOUR SELF-ESTEEM

According to an article of Psychology Today1, there are ten (10) ways in


order to boost your Self-Esteem, and these are as follows:

(1) Have a positive attitude;


(2) Don’t be ashamed to talk to friends;
(3) Get up and get moving;
(4) Do something with a purpose;
(5) Put things off until the next day;
(6) Listen to your body;
(7) Make sure you eat right;
(8) Set time aside for yourself;
(9) Write down your goals; and
(10) Have fun.

If I were to choose of which of these would back-fire into becoming a


narcissistic or conceited person, I would have to say it would be No. 1 or having a
positive attitude.

It is okay to be a positive person but being too positive and not leaving room
for any possibility that something might go wrong or go to plan, it might be hard if
the road gets rough. This may lead to anxiety or worse, depression.

Leaving room for the possibility that something might go wrong would
make us ready in making plans. Maybe conceptualizing a Plan A, Plan B, or Plan
C perhaps.
