Abstract ‫ملخص البحث‬ Results and Discussion ‫النتائج والمناقشة‬

Internet of Things (or IoT) is a new IT concept that has emerged in Hardware Components:
recent years and is growing very quickly. The main purpose focuses on Temperature and Humidity Sensor: DHT11
connecting real-world objects to the internet through different
technologies.

We can connect temperature, rain, humidity and soil sensors to

servers scattered on the internet. Humidity Sensing Negative Temperature

It is therefore possible to store different types of information Raspberry Pi Minicomputer and Arduino Microcontroller
(temperature, humidity, ...) then analyze them later and make
appropriate decisions and interventions.
Real data, collected from the various sensors, inform the users about
the evolution of their environment in real-time.
Especially in the context of Hajj season where the environment is
affected due to the huge number of pilgrims. Official authorities need to Wi-Fi Router with pre-paid SIM Card
know the current environment status in order to make appropriate
decisions. Huawei E5330

The presence of GPS position besides the environment data is an
important factor. In case of dangerous situation, the location can be
sent to Civil Defense Unit very quickly. Temperature Experiments

Research Aims ‫أهداف البحث‬

The proposed system allows:
- Real-time remote environment monitoring,
- While displaying GPS location on OpenStreetMap (using dynamic #Convert from Celius to Farenheit TWF = 9/5*TW+32
webpages).
Humidity Experiments

Research Methodology ‫منهجية وطرق البحث‬

We use Temperature and Humidity Sensor, GPS receiver and Wi-Fi

module interconnected together with Arduino Microcontroller and
Raspberry Pi Minicomputer.
GPS location of the IoT device
DHT11 sensor measures the temperature and humidity values.

GPS module gets geographic coordinates from satellites (latitude,

longitude).

RPi board transmits and updates the different values and location to a
remote server over Internet.
A supervisor can access a dynamic web page and visualize values on Recommendations ‫التوصيات‬
a chart. He can also view device location with OpenStreetMap.

The proposed work is implemented in two steps: in Hardware We have proposed an IoT based environment monitoring system
configuration and Software implementation. using sensors. We measure temperature and humidity using DHT11
sensor. GPS Receiver is used to locate the device.
This system provides several advantages in compared to the
traditional method. Mainly it allows real-time monitoring that can be
accessible from anywhere in the Internet.
We can also improve the system by sending notification to the
supervisor if a value exceeds certain limits.
