When do you start applying to colleges?

Students should begin the application process to schools during their senior year of High
School. Most applications are due by January but it is different for some colleges. Along with
regular admission there are things such as early admission, and rolling admissions. Early
admission allows students to submit theory applications before January, usually sometime
around the fall. Rolling admissions is when colleges allow applications at any time until a certain

How do you apply for Financial Aid?

To apply for financial aid students should begin preparing by asking counselors and colleges
about different grants and scholarships that schools offer. Then before every year fill out a
FAFSA form, which allows colleges to figure out the students eligibility for financial aid. After
being accepted you review your aid offer and figure out how the expected costs for the year.

What qualifies someone for Financial Aid?

Most students are eligible for financial aid in college. First you need to have a high school
diploma or a GED certificate. Along with this the student needs to be enrolled or accepted in an
eligible degree or certificate program. All males aged 18 -25 must be registered in selective
service. You must also have a valid social security number and maintain satisfactory grades in
your school.

Does every college require a personal essay?

Not Every college requires a personal essay to be accepted into the university. A personal
essay is an essay where the student applying to college writes something about themselves as
a common part of a college application process. Some smaller schools with not as many
resources don’t usually require them, and most colleges only require them for certain programs.

What major is best for being a lawyer?

Most Law schools do not consider a student's major in their admission decisions. More
importantly for law schools is the students GPA and their LSAT score. With that being said the
most common major for a student going into law school would be Political Science according to
2016-17 law school applicants.
