FEERY’S NOTES ON THE CTIIAAT AQUADINGEN
NOTE: Obviously, the pseudofactual ‘Hymn’ below
was inspired by Clark Ashton Smith’s sea-god,
Basata, set in the last days of Zothique. It is merely a
fragment of the limited-edition chapbook of Feery’s
Notes On The Cthaat Aqnadingcn. Much- discussed but
rarely quoted or excerpted, Fcciy’s Notes—'while at

times prone to wild textual extrapolations and flights
of adjective- filled legendry, often at great odds with
all other known translations of the Cthaat Aqnadingcn
—arc liighly regarded. Indeed, to some zealots,
Feery’s Notes were claimed as ‘Holy’ —divinely guided
channelings based on the original source-tomes.
From the Elder library, I have been authorized to
publish tliis small sampling of the Cthaat Aqnadingcn,
as interpreted by Joachim Feery. Enjoy this rare
glimpse of the Dark Alcana!

COMMENTARY: To adepts in the know it is obvious
‘BASATAN’ is a magical formula. Take a closer look
into its mysteries: BA-SA-TAN. BA is a reflex of the
sacred Word of Power ‘AB.’ BA is also part of the
Egyptian concept ol the human esoteric or
electromagnetic body. ‘B’ and ‘A.’ SA-TAN or SATAN
is almost too obvious. The rest of this mystery can be
unlocked via studious research.
