Any employee covered by the scope of the Unemployment Security Act who has not reached
the age of 68 years can be a member of the Unemployment Fund. You are considered to be an
employee when your main source of income is earned from work performed under the terms of an
employment relationship for someone else. You can’t join the Fund if you are laid off or unemployed.
If you are working part-time or have a zero hour contract the day that you join the Fund must be a
working day.
A member of the PAM Fund may not at the same time be a member of another unemployment fund.
If you join the PAM Unemployment Fund after having resigned from another fund within one month,
your period of employment and membership are transferred to the new Fund. The membership fee
to the previous fund will have to be paid until the resignation date.
An application to join the Fund must be made in writing to the Fund’s board. Membership of the Fund
begins from the date from which membership fees have been paid, but no earlier than the date on
which the written application has been received by the Fund.
You can apply for membership by filling out the attached form.
The Unemployment Fund’s membership fee for 2021 is 132 € (11 €/month). The membership fee
can be paid at once or in maximum three installments. If you join the Unemployment Fund in the
middle of a calendar month the fee has to be paid for the entire month.
The members of the Unemployment Fund are eligible to receive earnings-related unemployment
allowance as laid down in the Unemployment Security Act and other benefits under the field of
activity of the Fund.
The Fund will send you a written decision about your membership application and more information
about a member’s rights and responsibilities.
