Exercise: Your Vision of International Climate Action

What do you think would be the best way for the leaders of three major regions of the world to address
climate change? What is your vision of international success?

For this exercise, run multiple experiments in the “C-ROADS World Climate” simulator at
https://croadsworldclimate.climateinteractive.org (or search for that phrase). It is online or downloadable.

Make sure to choose the “Three Region” mode by going to Menu à Simulation à 3 Region in the upper
left corner of the simulator.

Your goal is to create a single scenario that addresses climate change. Consider economic impacts,
international equity, viability, and other factors important to you as you choose your scenario.

After experimentation with various scenarios, choose a single final scenario and answer the
following questions:

1. What were your settings in the table below?

2. What is the resulting Temperature Increase by 2100?

3. What about this scenario makes it the best way to address climate change?
4. What would be the main arguments against your scenario from a representative from:
a. Developed Countries

b. Developing A Countries

c. Developing B Countries

5. What are two things that would need to happen in the world over the next ten years to make this
scenario come true?

6. How did it feel to create these scenarios?
