Task 1: (173 words)

A glance at the given diagram illustrates the process of producing electricity in a

hydroelectric power station.

Overall, it is patently obivious that there are 4 prominent stages in this process
divided into 3 daytime steps and 1 steps at night, beginning with the movement of
water from river to the high-level reservoir, and finishing with water being pumped
back into the overhead reservoir.

At the first stage of the process, in daytime, the water from river will flow into the
high-level reservior which is blocked by a dam to avoid drainage. In the second
stage, there has a small intake behind the dam to lead the flow of water down the
generator via a pipeline. Next, the water operate the generator, after that, the
generator will create electricity and transmit it everywhere through power lines and
at the same time, drain the remain water into the low-level reservoir. Finally, at
night, water from low-level reservoir runs back to the power station and is pumped
up to the high-level reservior by the generator.

It is thought by some people that the best way to connect people of all ages,
genders and cultures is through music. Personally, I completely agree with this
idea.

The first reason for this is because music can overome all barriers including
language barrier or history barrier to bring a gerneral feeling to all listeners. For
example, rock music often make people feel angry, ballad music is sad and
revolutionary music is heroic, promoting the patriotism in each person. Besides, it
is a fact that music is often associated with social circumstances at different times
in history. For instance, revolutionary music was popular during the wartime ,
dissco music was amazing in the 70s and 80s. Thus, listening to music in each era
can make people understand and feel the lives and emotions of people in that era.
In this way, music truly conects people together through emotion.

In addition for the reason above, I also believe that people who have the same
interest in music can conect with each other more easily regardless of geographical
distance or issues of language or culture. Nowadays, the appearance of fan club are
more common and popular, the members of the clubs are people from diffirent
countries, ages and cultures but they all have the same interest in music. They
conect to each other by social media and sometimes, they will open a meeting, they
share informations, images and songs of their idol, ect. That is how they become
closer.

In conclusion, it seems to me that music is a very important part of the world, no

matter where it came from, what genre, when it was composed, it all had the same
goal: bringing people together.
