IN THEIR CONSIDERATIONS
Americans tend to work longer and harder that
other Westerners, though not always by choice.
IN COMMUNICATION IN VERBAL
Americans are very direct communicators. They tend
to convey their entire message verbally, paying
attention to body language - people are expected to
"get to the point", this does not mean courtesy in
disregarded in communication, but it does mean that
Americans may sometimes miss nuances.

IN COMMUNICATION IN NON-VERBAL
Eye contact should maintained directly. It
demonstrate warmth, openness, honestly and
approachability. If you make an eye contact with
stranger in passing on street, hallway or at coffee
shop etc. give a small smile or nod to acknowledge
them, continuing on your way without doing so
means you were simple staring or unfriendly, and is
considered slightly rude.
IN MEETINGS
Americans often like to cultivate a friendly
atmosphere that facilitates openness e.g. people may
inroduce humour to the coversation.
