ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

“CLUSTERED IN – SERVICE TRAINING ON MS OFFICE APPLICATION

AND ASSESTMENT TOOLS”

Santiago, Binarsang and Salucong Elementary School

II. BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The 2-day Clustered In – Service Training on MS Application and Assessment Tools

was initiated in order to train and upgrade the teachers in using the latest technology that

will surely help them in performing their daily activities and responsibilities. The participants

of the said In – service training are the teachers of Santiago, Binarsang and Salucong

Elementary School headed by their Cluster Principal Mr. Noel G. Malsi .

III. SIGNIFICANT LEARNING

It was timely to conduct an In – Service Training on MS Application and Assessment

Tools. This seminar is indeed a big help to the teachers in attaining their everyday goals and

objectives. This will also lessen their burden as facilitators inside their classroom.
 The seminar – workshop started with a very simple opening program which was

commenced with a singing of the National Anthem conducted by Mrs. Mary Ann Alcaraz,

Teacher I of Salucong Elementary School. After which, Mrs. Neidy G. Gumaru, Master

Teacher I of Santiago Elementary School led the participants in a reflection.

The energetic and supportive cluster principal, Mr. Noel G. Malsi gave his opening

remarks and at the same time as his message to the participants. He mentioned that

teachers should be equipped with the necessary knowledge in computer because of the

rapid changes in the environment when talking of technology. Teachers should know how to

deal with the technical know-how of technology to be able to deliver quality education to

the learners.

Mrs. Suzette B. Ramones, the Teacher – In – Charge of the host school, Salucong

Elementary School welcomed everybody, after which is the presentation of participants by

their respective school heads.

The second part of the program was seminar proper. During this time the

participants were given further instruction on the rules and regulations during the 2-day In-

Service Training on MS Application and Assessment Tools.

A. Training Proper

After the opening program, Mr. Simeon S. Taguinod Jr, the lecturer started his
presentation by showing different kinds of output and challenges everybody if they
can do it. He started discussing the different features of MS WORD. He taught the
participants how to use the toolbars correctly in order to make encoding faster and
enjoyable. He told the participants that this is important especially in preparing their
table of specifications, test questions and also in preparing different reports required.
Participants were required to show their outputs. He also entertained questions
asked by the participants.

After the MS Word application come the MS Excel Application. This

application is useful in preparing their grading sheets and in computing the grades of
every learner. Mrs. Neidy G. Gumaru taught the participants the basic on MS Excel
and its application on class recording and computing. He taught also the participants
how to use the different toolbars in MS Excel Application. The teachers were asked to
perform the skills taught.

Lastly is the MS Power Point Application. The speaker, Mrs. Neidy G. Pauig
told the importance of MS Power Point Application especially in presenting lessons.
This is one way of encouraging the learner to participate actively during class
discussion. Through the use of different animations and slides design learners are
expected to be more participative. The In – service training was conducted smoothly.
Every participant actively participated during the said training.

After the discussions, a short closing program commences. It started with a

reflection (video clip) followed by sharing of impressions and commitments. Mrs.
Gloria A. Icalla, Teacher – In – Charge and Mrs. Marte S. BUhangin, Teacher I both
from Binarsang Elementary School shared their impressions while Mrs. Exelyn P. Lago
of Santiago Elementary School shared her commitment. After the said activity the
energetic and supportive cluster principal Mr. Noel G. Malsi headed the distribution
of Certificate of Recognition and Participation to the participants.

IMPRESSIONS

It’s my pleasure to give an impression with this 2day In – Service Training. This

training is very timely especially for us teachers. It enables us to be more equipped and well

verse with our everyday lessons. We cannot give what we do not have, thus this seminar

workshop helps us fill and correct whatever shortcoming we have in dealing with our

learners. It enhanced what we already know and strengthen our skills to be more –

competent and effective teachers.

The speakers are very good. Their enthusiasm inspired us to become optimistic in

doing our job. The goals of the training are successfully met, the topics were clearly met.

The seminar is good and educational. Now we can be more effective in facilitating

learning because of our knowledge in manipulating computers in preparing our lessons,

required reports and the like.

COMMITMENT
This Clustered In – Service Training on MS Application and Assessment Tools is

a great help to us as teachers. We attend this training so that we can enhance our

knowledge on how to be a good manager of our own classroom. We as an educator

molder and a stakeholder of our country must commit ourselves in improving the

teaching learning process through the use of latest technology. I promise/commit to

apply all those knowledge/practices that I had learned in this 2 day seminar.
