Test 2.
Answers:

1. This is a huge question. Generally speaking, causation in contemporary

philosophy arises in the context of events rather than in the context of
substances. It’s important to understand causation, because it allows us to
properly understand cause and effect. When we know the cause behind an
effect, we can know how to employ an effect to its best use. For instance, if
we know that sinful activities cause suffering for ourselves and others, we’d
be less liable to sin. That’s how it’s important to know the causation behind
suffering.

2. My theory was that crime causation tell us about how crimes are caused in
our society that cause damages to every person in society. Like what I’ve
said in my answer in number 1. it allows us to properly understand cause
and effect. For instance, a washing machine - the cause behind a washing-
machine is obviously some clothes in need of washing. So by knowing the
cause of the machine, you also know its purpose. The manufacturer of the
washing machine, i.e. the cause, can tell you about the purpose of the
machine. That is the “common sense” of causation.

3. According to understanding the self, every person has two faces: personne
and moi. MOI – refers to a person’s sense of who he is, his body, & his basic
identity. PERSONNE – is composed of the social concepts of what it means
to be who he is. Ex: How it is to be living in a particular institution, family,
religion& nationality and how to behave as given the expectations &
influences from others
