1. Candace, Isis, Osiris, Cybele: All are goddesses except Osiris.

He is the husband of Isis

which is god of vegetation and underworld. A god-man who suffered, died, buried and
rose again from the dead. He is the only masculine in the group.
2. Adonis, Mysta, Atargatis, Mithras: Mithras does not belong to the group because mithras
is not a god nor goddess. It is an Eastern cult which is masculine in nature, the favorite of
the Roman soldiers, signified by the stabbing of bulls. Adonis and Atargatis are
masculine gods who died, and rose again. Mysta is a masculine candidate, symbolic of
the god’s death and reawakening.

Church History is the scientific account of the external and internal development of the
institution founded by Christ for the salvation of human kind. It is the record of the growth of the
church in space and time. It is an outward and inward growth of the church brought about by the
Holy Spirit in cooperation of human will. It has a religious orientation but it is not infallible truth
for the Church is always in reform and changing (ecclesia semper reformanda). It is divided into
three epochs or eras: ancient (2 epochs with Constantine as the pivotal division), middle ages (4
epochs) and modern (3 epochs).
