The next digit can now be set. Press READ until you reach the
desired number. Then press SET to confirm it. Then the next
digit will start flashing. Continue until all digits of the alarm
temperature limits are set.
As soon as the parameters of the upper alarm limit are set,
the first digit of the duration of the lower alarm limit will start
flashing. Proceed the same way as you did with the upper alarm
limit.
Internal sensor: As soon as the last digit of the lower alarm limit
is confirmed, the activation is completed. Now place the Fridge-
tag according to chapter 4.
External sensor: As soon as the last digit of the lower alarm
limit is confirmed, the activation is completed. Connect the
device with the external sensor.
Note: In case the desired temperature limit cannot be
confirmed, check if the temperature is set within the allowed
operating temperature range.

6. Read and change settings /
How to correct setting mistakes
6.1. Overview: menu

Note: If you scroll through the menu and you reach the LOC
function (internal sensor) or the display of the measuring mode
(external sensor) again you need to restart from the beginning
by accessing the menu. In order to adjust more than one setting
(e.g. time & Celsius to Fahrenheit) you must complete each
change and return to menu mode for the 2nd change.

You entered the menu mode and may choose which entry to
see or change.
SET to access the menu to adjust the date format, date or time
settings. Then follow the steps as described in chapter 5.5. and 5.6.
Note: Time and date adjustments have no effect on the alarm
records. Adjustments can only be made for date and time
settings and for changing the temperature measurement unit.
Once the device is activated, it cannot be stopped anymore. The
number of adjustments during the same day is unlimited.
After an adjustment has been made, the Fridge-tag will be locked
for 24 hours from the following midnight (e.g. changes on 15 Sep-
tember, device locked from 00:01 am on the 16 September until
00:01 am on the 17 September). This is for security reasons.
* Changes of the alarm limits are only possible for devices which are pro-
grammed with this feature.

Select the file you would like to verify.
Option 1: Select the files directly from the Fridge-tag which is
connected to your computer.
Option 2: Select the files from the place where you saved them
on your computer.
Proceed the same way with PDF and ASCII files. The same OK or
error messages will appear.

• The battery complies with IATA DGR Packing Instruction

Useful life
The Fridge-tag 2 can be used up to 31/2 years after production
date (1/2 year storage / 3 years useful life), the Fridge-tag 2 E can
be used up to 5 1/2 years after production date (1/2 year storage /
5 years useful life), on the condition that:
• The buttons are not pressed for very long time.
Note: Avoid jamming the device between the goods to be
monitored in a shipment.
• Storage and operation of the device remains inside the rec-
ommendations of the manufacturer. Especially temperatures
below 0°C or +32°F could have a negative influence for the
operating lifetime of the battery.
The end of the lifetime of the battery is indicated by the battery
indicator on the display (see chapter “1. Display explanations”).
Attention
• The Fridge-tag measures the ambient temperature and not
the quality of the monitored goods. Its purpose is to signal if
product quality evaluation is required.

blinkt, dann SET drücken, um die Zahl zu bestätigen. Die nächste

der Temperaturlimite einstellen.
Sobald die letzte Zahl der oberen Alarmlimite bestätigt ist, beginnt
die erste Zahl der Dauer der unteren Alarmlimite zu blinken.
Gehen Sie genau gleich wie beim Einstellen der oberen Limite vor.
Sobald Sie die letzte Zahl der unteren Alarmlimite bestätigen, ist
die Aktivierung komplett.
Interner Sensor: Platzieren Sie den Fridge-tag nun gemäss Kapitel 4.
Externer Sensor: Verbinden Sie das Gerät mit dem externen Sensor.
Hinweis: Falls die eingegebene Temperatur nicht bestätigt
werden kann, prüfen Sie, ob sich die Temperatur im zulässigen
Alarmbereich befindet.

appuyez sur SET pour confirmer. Ensuite, le chiffre suivant se
met à clignoter. Continuez jusquʼà ce que tous les chiffres de la
température dʼalarme soient définis.
Dès que les paramètres de la limite supérieure dʼalarme sont
définis, le premier chiffre de la durée de la limite inférieure
dʼalarme commence à clignoter. Procédez de la même manière
que vous lʼavez fait avec la limite dʼalarme supérieure.
Capteur interne: Dès que le dernier chiffre de la limite inférieu-
re de lʼalarme est confirmé, lʼactivation est terminée.
Capteur externe: Dès que le dernier chiffre de la limite inférieu-
re de lʼalarme est confirmé, lʼactivation est terminée. Connecter
lʼappareil au capteur externe.
Remarque: Dans le cas où la limite de température souhaitée ne
peut être confirmée, vérifier si la température se situe dans la
plage de température de fonctionnement autorisée.
5.8. Fonction LOC (capteur interne uniquement)
Le Fridge-tag ne mesure pas la température quand les actions
suivantes se déroulent:
• Au cours du processus d‘activation
• Pendant l‘utilisation des boutons (READ ou SET)
• Quand le Fridge-tag est connecté à un PC / Mac
Quand les actions sont terminées, le symbole «LOC» s‘affiche à
l‘écran aucune température ne sera enregistrée pendant une
périodede 10 minutes (réglage d'usine). Dans l‘affichage le sym-
bole «LOC» apparaît. Cette fonction empêche l‘enregistrement
de données erronées directement liées à la manipulation de
l’appareil; elle permet une adaptation à la température ambiante
avant la poursuite de l‘enregistrement normal.

5.9. Comment corriger lʼerreur de connexion
Sʼil vous plaît vérifier les deux points suivants:
1. Si le capteur externe est bien connecté à lʼappareil.
2. Si le câble du capteur externe a des défauts.
Remarque: Dès que lʼerreur a été effacée, le mode de mesure
est reprise et la température actuelle est de nouveau affiché sur
lʼécran. Pendant un maximum de 1 minute, aucune température
instantanée nʼest affichée à lʼécran.
