ASSIGNMENT # 2 “UNDERSTANDING FREEDOM AND RESPONSIBILITY”

Directions:

Read the synopsis of the story of Alex in the novel titled “Ä Clockwork Orange”,
authored by Anthony Burgess in 1962 (with restored edition in 2013). The synopsis is
attached to this classwork. You MAY also opt/choose to watch the movie version of the
said novel with the same title, that if you have access or granting that you can access to
the said movie version. You are not required to have access to the said movie
especially if it involves cost on your part. However, you are highly encouraged to watch
it if you have access to the same. After reading the synopsis (or after watching the
movie), answer the questions below. Observe utmost intellectual honesty and a sense
of originality in making your ok output. Receiving similar outputs from students irritates
me as a professor. I will post or publish in our Group Chat or stream in our Google
Classroom the names of the students who have exactly similar outputs. Should you
encounter any reasonable difficulty render free will be able to submit on time, that

1. What was the central theme of the story? Describe clearly


The central theme of the story defended your answer.
● The central theme of the story is people deserve a second chance because we
all make mistakes sometimes. It's okay to have some few friends but true and
loyal ones, a friend that will never leave you and betray you.

2. Which of the two makes you human


a. Free to decide and do evil acts; or
b. Forced to become a moral person and not hurt other
● A. For me I can decide and do evil acts whatever I want because this is me, I
can make decision to myself cause it's my freedom and my responsibility.
