RULES AND REGULATION STORYTELLING COMPETITION

DIES NATALIS KE-7 TAHUN 2021

POLITEKNIK PERKERETAAPIAN INDONESIA MADIUN

Theme: Indonesian Folklore

General Rules:
1. Participants are university students from East-Java area.
2. Participants must follow PPI Madiun and English Club PPI Madiun on Instagram.
3. This competition will be held through Youtube video submission.
4. Performance rules:
a) No video editing in any ways
b) No more than one camera angle use
c) Upper half of body parts must be visible, especially participant’s facial
expression
d) Participants can explore the stage (their own surroundings) but they need to
make sure the voice is still audible. It is suggested to stay close to the
microphone
e) None of the participants are allowed to read any story from text or keynote while
delivering the story
f) Participants may use any of the equipment that follows their story (props and
costumes).
g) Participants’ equipment may not consist of any harmful material or sharp
objects.
h) Participant’s costume must not violate society’s norm
i) Participant is not allowed to act or make stories containing sexual appeal and
discrimination toward specific group such as gender identity, religion, ethnicity,
and etc.
5. Each rule must be obeyed, disqualification may be applied to any participant who
violated these rules.
6. Any change to this rule and regulation will be informed by the committee

Additional Notes:
1. Participants can freely use any stories as long as it fits the theme and not violate the
rules. They can make it as creative as possible.
 2. Participants must make an original Storytelling video with 7 minutes maximum duration.
(Must be Landscape with the minimum video resolution is 480p)
a. Participants upload the video on their YouTube Channel with Format: Dies
Natalis ke-7 PPI Madiun_Story Telling_Full Name_Title " and use
#diesnatalis7PPIMadiun #PPIMadiun. The video must be set to the public
(listed).
b. Participants submit the link of the video and the script through Google form on
this link: bit.ly/diesnatalis7_PPIM
c. Deadline video and script submission: August 13, 2021 at 23.59 WIB.

Scoring:
A. Several aspects which will be essential keys for scoring:
a. Matter: Plot
b. Manner:
i. Performance:
1. Mapping
2. Eye contact
3. Characterization (voice, gesture, and expression)
ii. Properties (costumes are optional)
c. Method: volume, pronunciation, and grammar

B. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence pertaining to the judging process
will be reconsidered.
