Introduction
Social media is a crucial tool for companies to use to interact with their target audience.
Companies that connect with their customers on social media earn more favorable feedback
for their brand and their brand image. Social media is important for brand marketing because
it allows firms to connect with their customers on a deeper level [ CITATION Mar19 \l
1033 ]. Companies can now connect with customers in real time, allowing their opinions and
ideas to be acknowledged, because of the advent of social media.
Personal branding is a growing method of marketing oneself as a person. You develop your
image as an expert in a specific subject by performing many activities and using several
platforms. You also increase your exposure to new clients, audiences, partners, or even
employment by doing so. Building brand awareness entails raising awareness of what you
provide as well as the quality of your products and services [ CITATION Kin16 \l 1033 ].
Personal branding is crucial in all sectors since it increases sales, improves an online
reputation, and fosters trust. [ CITATION Kat17 \l 1033 ]. Because social media is such an
essential element of personal branding, most executives, CEOs, and founders post on many
networks.
Social media also assists in the growth of loyal followers and the production of leads. A good
social media presence enables a firm to build business partnerships, save money on
marketing, and increase revenue [ CITATION Emi20 \l 1033 ]. Another significant advantage
of social media is that it gives market data that businesses can utilise to improve their brand.
When a brand is having issues, social media enables it to reach out to customers who can give
insights into why the company is having issues. Social media also helps to humanize brands
by allowing them to respond to client concerns, comments, and criticism. Social media not
only enables companies to engage with their consumers in a more engaging and authentic
2
way, but it also enables them to give a call-to-action to their audience and develops strong
ties.
LinkedIn: LinkedIn is a must-have for any professional. LinkedIn allows us a bit more
flexibility in posting frequently than other social networking platforms. Growing
associations requires consistency, therefore those seeking to extend their brand should
submit articles and participate with groups and connections on a regular basis. They
should establish a routine (daily or alternating days) and stick to it.
Instagram: Because Instagram is a visual medium, it's critical to develop a personal
branding plan for showcasing your knowledge through images, videos, and text
descriptions. Creating an Instagram account helps you combine your personal and
professional lives. People who want to grow their brand should attempt to be
consistent on Instagram. One of the most efficient ways to help others locate your
material is to use hashtags. This leads to more Instagram followers, which may lead to
new clients. People should just be cautious not to overuse hashtags, otherwise their
content may be interpreted as spam [ CITATION Nor19 \l 1033 ]. To grow one’s
following, they should make sure to like and comment on other people's work.
Elevator Speech
My name is XYZ, and I'd want to introduce myself. Thank you so much for taking the time to
meet with me today. I worked as a Digital Marketing Head at You after finishing with a
bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing. I oversee all steps of developing audiovisual
marketing products, from strategy to implementation to promotion, here. I was given a list of
15 initiatives and a budget for each of them at the beginning of the year. Together with our
Technology Department, we devised a cross-departmental communications plan for aligning
tech solutions with the capabilities of the entire team in order to reduce unnecessary expenses
and enhance productivity. In the future I would like to build my Digital Marketing brand and
collaborate with other Companies to put ‘You’ on the radar as the best company to work
with.

Reflective Log
Businesses, first and foremost, seek financial benefit while engaging in any type of marketing
activity; nevertheless, aside from producing money, personal branding serves a variety of
other vital roles.
Increases your credibility: Individuals trust people more than brands. The primary
goal of a personal brand is to increase trust and strengthen the relationship between
the business and the client.
Engages with Your Target Audience: A personal brand allows customers to connect
with the brand more quickly in the here and now. It is also utilized to strengthen your
engagement and connectedness with important stakeholders, mentors, influencers, and
decision-makers both within and internationally.
Supporting a Corporate Brand: A personal brand may be utilized to humanize a
corporate brand since it becomes the voice behind the corporate brand when carefully
championed. It also highlights the distinctiveness of a company brand. Because
corporate brands typically take a homogeneous approach, it is often more difficult to
identify one from another, notably in the professional services and financial
industries. Personal branding is distinct. It is widely acknowledged that each person is
a unique individual with their own set of objectives, aspirations, beliefs, and morals.
