Possible growth:

Growth is uncertain thing in a start-up and very hard to predict it. We can predict
some of the ideas that we are going to implement in feature. So, possible growth in 3
years is as follows:

1. Capacity increase: At the end of 3 years we can be double in our capacity for
eg if we are having 20 trucks at starting we must be having 40+ trucks at the
end of 3 years.
2. Area covered: We will be covering only 3 cities at initial stage. After 3 years
we will be covering more than 10+ nearby districts with supercharging stations
at every 200kms on highways in covered areas.
3. Expansion: After 3 years we are planning to expand our business in
Ecommerce sector as it is rapidly growing sector with usage of all electric
vehicles from bike to trucks.
4. Charging stations: After 3 years, at charging stations we are planning to use
renewable energy sources at supercharging stations like solar or wind energy.
5. Lean six sigma: As we are industrial engineers we know importance of lean
six sigma. So, we are planning to implement lean six sigma at the end of third
year.
Challenges:

A start up in initial stages is like a newly born baby, we have to handle it with
extreme care and it requires utmost attention. As our start-up believes in using green
energy as a fuel it is more challenging and considering the thing that we have to
implement it in India. Some of the major challenges are as follows:

Investment

Charging
Competittion
ponts

Challenges

Charging Skilled
time labour

Warehouse

1. Investment: The cost of electric trucks is almost 2-3 times the diesel trucks.
Heavy investment is required. We also have to install superchargers. So, it is
really hard to find an investor who will invest such a heavy amount in our
start-up.
2. Charging points: Travelling range of electric trucks is not good for eg Volvo e-
truck has a company claimed range of 300kms. Presently in India there are
very few charging points are available. To run the start-up fluently we have to
install superchargers after every 200-250Kms. (This superchargers can be
make public to generate more profit.)
3. Skilled labour: Presently in Mumbai or in India there are diesel truck drivers
are in abundance but there are no E-truck drivers. So, we have to organise
initial training drive for drivers.
4. Warehouse: As we are planning to start it in Mumbai. Land rates in Mumbai
are too high. It will be a hard task to find a place for warehouse in Mumbai.
5. Charging time: To charge an electric vehicle on supercharger it takes around
30 – 60 minutes and on normal charger it is much more than that. Hence, we
have to consider this time wastage while mapping a trip.
6. Competition: In logistic industry, road transport is mostly driven by diesel
vehicles and there is very high competition among them itself. We have to
face this completion even though we are using electricity as a fuel.
