EVALUATION, FEEDBACK AND PRAISE SYSTEM

In order to evaluate students, we will use different supports and techniques that adapt to the
context with innovative, creative and motivating materials, and that in the same way respond
to special educational needs, among them:

- The incorporation of printed, audiovisual and computer materials (according to the

interests of the students).

- The use of control sheets and rubrics.

- The division of the follow-up diagnosis and final evaluation into three different agents,
self-evaluation, hetero-evaluation and co-evaluation.

In addition, different projects will be worked on that will be continuous throughout the
course and that will include learning the area with games and activities, taking advantage of
educating in values, emotional intelligence, and conflict prevention through various
techniques of group work with their students.

We will carry out oral and written tests, which will include the cards, class work,
questionnaires, short questions, individual and group presentations, review activities aloud
and final tests of the syllabus.

Feedback is also an important part of the evaluation and assessment process. We will give
feedback not only when students work in groups, but also when they need to practice what
they have learnt individually. To do that we are going to use rubrics that allow us to explain
in detail the learning process of each one of the pupils because students can achieve
several levels in the same task. Oral and written skills, motivation and participation are going
to be considered in the different rubrics.

The teacher will take note of the most common mistakes that students make in each lesson
and a few minutes will be dedicated to revise them in the next session. If it is necessary
extra worksheets or tasks are going to be designed to help pupils overcome their difficulties.
Apart from that, we will give oral feedback when students are speaking, acting as models
reformulating their sentences and pronouncing words properly. Written feedback will be also
given to indicate students what they need to revise.

On the other hand, we will praise students keeping in mind which are the objectives of this
unit and focusing on specific tasks at the same time that we tell them how they can improve.
Self-assessment and co-evaluation will contribute to develop a sense of self-evaluation
gradually in our pupils.
General Evaluation

For the general evaluation, we are going to use the app Google Corubric. This is an app
available on the Internet which allows us to create rubrics and to evaluate an unit or a
specific activity, creating by ourselves the items to evaluate and the score.
In our case, we have created one for every student from the base form.

Rubric Self-Assessment for children
The following is the Student Self-Assessment Rubric, where students will know how
his or her work has been along the unit and their grade of satisfaction.

First of all, we will explain to them how to complete, after that we will give them the
paper which they have to fill up, marking a cross in the block that they consider.

Co-evaluation

Another important aspect to take into account in the final evaluation is the
Co-evaluation, regarding the working groups. It is necessary that the teacher knows
if this method has been implemented properly. Therefore, we think that the most
appropriate way to know is through a little test. To do so, students will have to login
in the following link a with their account and fill up the different questions. However,
this test can be paper-based as well, depending on the needs and characteristics of
the group.

Self assessment for teacher

Finally, the teacher assessment is another necessary evaluation that we should do

at the end of every unit or school year. In this sense, we will have the opportunity to
know if our work has been appropriated along the unit and our students have
understood the contents. Therefore, they will be able to implement any change in the
future.

The following form has been created by the teachers of the English area to evaluate
their own work, taking into account several aspects. This form will be available in
google form.
