Topic 10: Several ways to help you learn vocabulary better

I have a method about learning English well. 4 skills: listening, speaking, reading

and writing, I like reading the most. I usually spend my time practicing my

reading skills twice a week.

After applying this reading process, I have noticed an improvement,the improving

number of words. The reading procedure that I apply is as follows:

Step 1: I select suitable readings suitable for my ability through reading

newspapers, reading stories.

- First, I will prioritize the reading materials related to reading skills. to serve my

learning, for example: Active reading 123, Real reading… I will read 1 unit in 1

per week.

- After studying, I will find online short stories for kids children online to read for

fun

Step 2: During the reading process, when you I see a new vocabulary.
I will highlight it. Words that are familiar but can't remember clearly are

underlined.

Step 3: Write all new words in the notebook in 3 columns

I write all new words in the notebook. The vocabulary notebook has 3 columns.

Words, pronoun and meaning.

Then, I only choose only your my favorite words to learn, because for I learning

what you I like will be easier to remember.

Step 4: Review the words I you have learned every day.

1. Why do you know about this process?

One of my friends taught me this method of learning. After applying for a

while, I noticed an improvement in my vocabulary.

2. In your opinion, which of the above 4 What steps is are the most important?

Personally, step 4 is the most important step. Because, reviewing what you

have learned will help you remember it longer.

3. Besides reading books, what other methods do you find to help improve

English?

- Watch movie: It help you me learn new words easily. You I learn English

new words in context, which will help you me better remember them.

Instead of memorizing words, you I will hear new vocabulary words and

How to used words in context. It's a great way to learn new words. I love

watching movie. My favorite movie is Doraemon series. I like Doraemon

and Nobita because they end up developing a strong bond with each other.

a) How to learn English with movie?

There are four steps to learn new works with movie.
Step 1: Watch 2-3 minutes of a movie without English subtitles.

Step 2:  Watch the same scene again with subtitles.

Step 3: Watch the same scene again and pause after each sentence
and shadow exactly what the actors are saying.

Step 4: Record your voice shadowing the actors, and compare

your pronunciation and speaking skills to the actors.
 - Listen Spotlight: Besides reading, I often listen through the app on my

phone, that is spotlight english. Spotlight english is the best way to listen to

native english speakers. Spotlight english uses a special method of

broadcasting that makes it easier to understand for listeners worldwide.
