Reflection Paper
Introduction
Western Philosophers Influence on our Education.
Their ideas nurtured a positive faith in political and universal education. In education, they
observed children – especially their stages of development. Teachers should base instruction
on children’s interest and needs.
Body Paragraphs
Philosophers in this period emphasized on educating using reason and scientific method in
order to improve the contemporary situation and to make a more progressive future.

Reflection
As we talk about my group mates those philosophers, I look at how they constructed their
philosophies and theories of education. They developed ideas about schools, curriculum, and
methods of instruction that remain to form the teachers preservice preparation and practice in
today’s classrooms.

Conclusion
In this period, philosophers was influential in shaping political and educational institutions.
We might visualize these philosophers as educational mentors from the past who can
illuminate our ideas about teaching and learning.
