1. Western philosophers gives emphasis to using reason and scientific method

to improve the present situation and to create a more progressive future.

2. Socrates idea of educator is that true knowledge were present, but buried
within the person's mind. Socrates encourage students to use critical self-
examination. Socratic method (dialogue approach) is challenging both teachers
and students.

2. Plato's curriculum. Plato's educational purposes in the REPUBLIC are to
maintain the right kind of POLITICAL SYSTEM. 

2. Aristotle curriculum recommended compulsory schooling. Aristotle, like

Plato, believed that each stage of schooling lead to prepare students for the
next higher stage.

3. Pandemic has a huge effects on our normal life for school, teachers and
students and despite pandemic, we should continue schooling. Take action to
minimize the problem and understand the new reality. I think
PROGRESSIVISM is equal to change and we just have to determine the gap to
reach future target and this made us to be INNOVATIVE and CREATIVE.

4. My TAKEAWAYS in Western philosophies of education. Western culture and

education cultivate HUMAN EXCELLENCE. Gave education an important role
in promoting a society's political well- being.
