1. Based on the photograph, what makes a mother becomes a mother to her child?

- Motherhood is a relationship; it relates to pregnancy, but pregnancy is not all it is

and giving birth doesn’t have to be the line. Based on the picture, a mother gives
light to the life of the child and a mother gives all the love that she can give for
her child. In simple words, it’s her unconditional love for her child. Also, the mother
in the picture holds her child tightly which symbolizes utmost protection. Most
importantly, the sacrifices the mother is willing to give makes her a mother to her
child.

2. What are the characteristics of being a mother that you can connect to the portrait?
Catholic devotion to Mary is nothing more than a logical extension of a child’s personal
affection for her own mother.

- A mother is the embodiment of love and care. She always stands for the family,
sacrificing her needs and desires. Her way of smiling, love, care, and the way she
showers all her affection. I believe that these are the characteristics of being a
mother that I can connect to the portrait.
