Write a reflective essay citing concrete ways of expressing your gratitude for your roots and origin.

Expressing our gratitude is more than courtesy, manners, or being polite. It is about showing our heartfelt
appreciation— most especially when we express our gratitude to our roots and origin reflects our identity as Christians. Our
roots is a mirror of who we are. With it, we are able to know the significant events during the time of our early fathers.
To express our gratitude, I think, we must always look back in it through reading the Bible. The Bible is the love letter
of our Heavenly Father to us; everything that we need to know are inside it. It helps us to be stronger in our faith as the Holy
Spirit moves within us while we take time to read our Bible. Also, to express our gratitude, we must always be equipped with
a sense of appreciation to our origin through also, sharing it with our fellow Christians. It is also necessary that in whatever
we do, we acknowledge the work of the Almighty in leading us towards the enlightenment about the origin of the church.
It is important that we always express our gratitude and always look back to where everything really started. As
Christians, it is the foundation of who we are and it surely touches our heart to be able to know God’s purpose in allowing
everything to happen. We must also set a remarkable example as Christians just like our early fathers did so that the next
generation can also establish a strong connection and appreciation to their roots.

Prayer:
Father God in heaven, Creator of all things, I praise you and lift Your name on high for being so faithful and gracious. Almighty
Father, thank you for allowing me to be reminded of my roots. Thank you because You always do what is best for us. Father,
I praise Your name for I know that I can entrust everything in Your safe-keeping, knowing that Your love surrounds us and
that Your grace is sufficient, no matter how black the circumstances of life may appear. Thank You Father that You hold the
world in the palm of Your hand, and nothing can snatch us from that secure position in You. May you always remind us that
when everything fails, we can come to you, and you will embrace us tightly, You will hide us under the shelter of Your wings
because in You we are safe and secured. And I pray that You help me to look to Jesus, knowing that in all things He is
victorious, and through Him, I can always find joy even in difficult times. May our lives be filled with your goodness and power,
today and every day, as we walk in your Spirit of love. I pray this in the Mighty Name of Your Son Jesus Christ, Amen.
