what trait, characteristics, and roles, you like him/her most? Why?
- One influential person who is a leader and someone I look up to, is Justin Trudeau – the
prime minister of Canada. He had became a great role model for me, when the pandemic
started and until now he has shown great leadership characteristics. He is an exceptional
leader as he is very versatile and opens up to different religions and cares for them, also
he is the type of leader who acts fast on important matters, such as the vaccination
process; wherein it came about two months earlier than it was supposed to. Immediately,
he encouraged and assured that all Canadians may be vaccinate as soon as they are able.

2. List what qualities/roles you admire them most? Why?

a. Immediate action. He immediately does something when a problem is arising and
acts fast to solve it.

government is with them and will make ways to combat this.
c. Priority minded. One of the greatest problem in the world right now is climate
change, and in his regime, he has made it a priority to make sure that does not
become a problem for long.

- The primary distinction between leaders and managers is that leaders have followers,
whilst managers have employees.

8. What is effective nursing leadership?

- A good nurse leader for me, is a person who not only is focused on delivering the best
and holistic care for a patient, but also encourages others to do the same. A good nurse
leader should be a great role model for her colleagues, showing passion, confidence,
integrity and care.

towards it.

15. Compare and contrast the different modalities of care.
a. Case Method/Total Patient Care- The nurse cares for one patient whom the nurse cares
for exclusively. The nurse is responsible for the total care of the patient during the nurse’s
working shift.
b. Functional Nursing- It is a task-oriented method wherein a particular nursing function is
assigned to each staff member. The medication nurse, treatment nurse and bedside nurse
are all products of this system. The key idea was for nurses to be assigned to tasks, not to
patients.
c. Team Nursing- This is the most commonly used model and is still in use today. The
goal of team nursing is for a team to work democratically.
d. Primary Nursing-The hallmark of this modality is that one nurse cares for one group of
patients with a 24-hour accountability for planning their care. In other words, a Primary
Nurse (PN) cares for her primary patients every time she works and for as long as the
patient remains on her unit.
e. Modular Nursing (District Nursing)- This is a modification of team and primary
nursing. It is a geographical assignment of patient that encourages continuity of care by
organizing a group of staff to work with a group of patients in the same locale.
