Case Study on Teenage Pregnancy and Unsafe Abortion

INTRODUCTION:

Teenage pregnancy is defined as occurring between the ages of thirteen and nineteen.
Finding out you're pregnant in high school is one of the most terrifying things a girl can experience. the
leading cause of adolescent female school dropout. Some do a risky thing to avoid shame. It is called an
unsafe abortion. An unsafe abortion is the termination of a pregnancy by people who lack the necessary
skills, or by people who work in an environment that lacks basic medical standards, or both. An unsafe
abortion is a potentially fatal event for our women.

ANALYSIS:

Teenage pregnancy exists as a result of teenagers', particularly girls', lack of sex education
knowledge. Abortions are also performed because some pregnant women do not want to be pregnant
or want to avoid embarrassment. These issues have a negative impact on the Filipino people and society
because many women are hospitalized each year and some die as a result of abortion complications. We
are all to blame for these issues. Many people are afraid to read or discuss information about pregnancy
and abortion.

PROPOSED SOLUTION:

The best way to prevent adolescent pregnancy and unsafe abortion is to provide support or
counseling programs. We can use these solutions to teach teenagers about the dangers of becoming
pregnant at a young age and having an unsafe abortion. These simple solutions have the potential to
reduce the number of women hospitalized and dying as a result of this issue.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Attending some programs about the dangers of adolescent pregnancy and unsafe abortion,
and how to avoid them. Our teenagers, particularly girls, should employ these simple strategies.

Case Study 1 (Elizabeth) on Discrimination Against Filipino Workers with HIV

INTRODUCTION:

HIV can cause some health issues that are specific to women. It has been linked to an
increased risk of cervical cancer and heart disease. Women infected with HIV are expected to
outnumber men in the near future.

ANALYSIS:

These issues exist to prevent a person's virus from spreading. These issues have an impact on
Filipinos and society because they are difficult to address. Anyone can become a victim of these issues.
We are all responsible for these problems as humans because it is possible that we will become people
with these problems.

PROPOSED SOLUTION:

The best solution I can think of is to create a program that addresses these issues. We hope that
by holding these events, we will be able to reach as many people as possible and thus help to avoid this
serious problem. We can possibly turn the table into a good outcome by sharing the cause and effect of
these problems.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Participating in these events is one method of avoiding these issues. If we want to learn more
about these issues, we should all attend these events.

Case 2 – John, male, 22 years old, Catholic school teacher.

INTRODUCTION:

HIV can harm a person's immune system. If these viruses are ignored, it is possible that this
person will be executed sooner and will unknowingly spread these viruses.

ANALYSIS:

The safety of those inside the school, particularly students, is the school's top priority. As a result,
John's contract was renewed. These issues have an impact on Filipinos and society. Because we are
prone to these issues, it is possible that we are unaware that the person we are dealing with has HIV.
We must take responsibility for these issues in order to keep ourselves safe and reduce the number of
people infected with HIV.

PROPOSED SOLUTION:
Learning and listening about these issues can help us learn more about them. We can also
avoid the risk and avoid becoming a victim of these issues. Attending some programs, as well as reading,
can also be beneficial.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

The best way to solve these problems is to ask questions, read about them, and listen to what
others have to say about them. Locate some resources that can teach you or assist you in preventing or
resolving these issues.
