1071 Drawing Document Properties

- Open a New Drawing

- Select the default B (ANSI) Landscape Title Block
- Change Unit System: IPS
- Options > Document Properties
• Make the following changes to the document properties. Leave all other properties
as the default.
- Drafting Standard: ANSI (Click dropdown and select a different standard. Click dropdown
again and select ANSI. There are base standards you will have to manually change multiple
times if you do not do this.)

- Annotations Font = Arial Font Style = Regular Height Units = .100in (2.54mm)
Leading zeros = Remove Trailing zeros = Show
> Balloons Leader style = Solid, .0098in (0.25mm)
Frame style = Solid, .0098in (0.25mm)

- Drafting Standard: Rename Overall drafting standard to ANSI-1071

- Dimensions Font = Arial Font Style = Regular Height Units = .100in (2.54mm)
Primary Precision (Inch): Unit = 2 decimal places

Primary Precision (Metric): Unit = 1 decimal place

Offset distances (first dimension row from object) = .75 (second row) = .50

Leading zeros = Remove

- Tables Font = Arial Font Style = Regular Height Units = .100in (2.54mm)
> General Box Border = .0138in (0.35mm)
Grid Border = .0098in (0.18mm)

- Views Font = Arial Font Style = Regular Height Units = .100in (2.54mm)
> Auxiliary Line Style = Phantom, .0138in (0.35mm)
> Detail Circle = Phantom, .0138in (0.35mm)
Border = Phantom, .0138in (0.35mm)
> Section Line Style = Phantom, .0551in (1.40mm)
- Detailing Display Filter  Shaded Cosmetic Threads -or-  Display all Types

- Units IPS - (inches, pounds, seconds) -or- MMGS - (millimeter, gram, second)
Decimal rounding = Round half to even

- Line Fonts Visible Edges = Solid, Thickness = .0276in (0.70mm)

Hidden edges = Dashed, Thickness = .0197in (0.50mm)

Make FORMAT the current layer.
Right-Click in Graphics Area > Left Click Edit Sheet Format
Delete everything except Border with numbers & letters
Right-Click in Graphics Area > Left Click Automatic Border > Next Arrow
> Layer FORMAT
> Line Width of Border Thickness = .0394in (1.00mm)
> Line Width of Zone Divider Thickness = .0394in (1.00mm)

Add layers, lines, and text from title block image.
OK Edit Sheet Format
Add General Notes
GENERAL NOTES:
1. REMOVE ALL BURRS AND BREAK SHARP EDGES
2. UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED, ALL DIMENSIONS ARE IN INCHES / MILLIMETERS
