Theoretically, there is no reason to prevent war; but we mustn’t be deceived by thinking that It is easy.

The first step towards this is to find efficient International Association which wouldn’t be easily invented.
The imposition of sanctions against assailants, the peaceful reconciliation in a collaborative international
system, and the establishment of an international police force are all essential measures. All these
measures and others like it seem to us as if it is easily achievable; however, it needs a lot of
consideration and careful planning. The second step is much more difficult. According to “William
James” this step is called the moral reality of war and to concurrently work to reduce the aggressive
power within every powerful country. This is a psychological matter. Thanks to Freud and modern
psychology in general, we began to understand how to inhibit self-assertion fantasies in children and to
repress it in such a way that makes it remain in the subconscious … These fantasies remain in the
subconscious in the form of crude incentives which motivate towards aggression and violence. The
danger of these incentives increase due to the failure of the subconscious to acknowledge it. The best
solution to prevent the accumulation this explosive psychological power is to find outlets in which our
fantasies of self-assertion are resolved through well-informed and constructive means. This is a
considerable work, because it means that we must employ a new lifestyle both socially and family-wise.
A lifestyle in which there will be no repression for the growing human character. It is a new
understanding of education in which outlets will be provided in the form of physical and mental
activities for those fantasies that may very well be unutilized even if not repressed. It’s a difficult work
but should never, under any circumstances, considered impossible.
