Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy Level(s):

☐ Remembering ☒ Understanding ☒ Applying ☐ Analyzing ☐ Evaluating ☐ Creating

Levels of Technology Integration:

☐ Infusion Level: Students may work at a higher Bloom’s Level, but they do not have any “Voice or Choice”
during the activity and most of the decisions are made by the teacher.

☒ Integration Level: We would like to see ALL lessons/activities reach this level. The project is student-
driven. Students have “Voice and Choice” in the activities, selecting the topic of study and determining the
technology tool to demonstrate mastery of the standard. The teacher becomes more of a facilitator.
☐ Expansion Level: The projects created are shared outside of the classroom, publishing student work and
promoting authorship. This could be reached by showcasing the project on the school’s morning
newscast, posting the project to the classroom blog, or publishing via an outside source.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL):

 Visual
 ELL Students- multiple language and pictures

Lesson idea implementation:

The teacher will review the BrainPOP video that the students previously watched. The students will engage in
a think-pair-share about the facts that they remember about George Washington. Students will be asked to
do some research on Geroge Washington. The end goal is to have the students create a timeline on Padlet.

Before the students start their research, the teacher will show her example of the timeline and go over what
they are doing. Once the students find enough facts to make a timeline, they will find a partner and put their
facts together. They will only use ten facts with pictures that go along with their facts. The students' timelines
will be added to the class website.

Beyond-the-Basic Productivity Tools (BBPT)

After creating this lesson idea, I feel that this activity is meaningful because the students will have time to dive
deeper about George Washington. They will also get a chance to explore a different software. As an extension
of the lesson, the students can research other major leaders of the Constitutional Convention.
