So, at first, we have exploratory conversation, it is the first thing that someone must do to sue a person.
Right, talk to a lawyer? The attorney discusses in general terms the legal alternatives available and
usually asks for an opportunity to conduct an independent investigation to assess the value of the claim.
This meeting is known as an exploratory conversation.

Lets talk about trials, Trials involve the staging of a confrontation between the plaintiff and the
defendant as contradicting witnesses, and arguments collide in a courtroom in accordance with
procedural and evidentiary rules.

● Both state and federal judges, with the consent of the plaintiff, can reduce unreasonably high
jury verdicts. - remittitur.

Finally we are at Judgment and Execution. A judgment is awarded after the trial court has ruled on
posttrial motions. Appeals are made from the court’s entry of judgment. Either party (or both) may
appeal from a trial court’s judgment to an appellate court.
