Technique #1

Triple Line Instant Notes


This is the shortest chapter.

You’ll learn it in a few minutes.

And, you can start using Instant Notes


techniques from today itself because it
takes not time to use it.

Yet, this is perhaps the easiest and most


powerful techniques for better memory in
exams.

Ready to learn?

Here we go:

We divide all exam course material in to 3


types:

• Very easy.
• Not yet very easy
• Hard
If a topic or chapter is hard, draw a single
line on the right side of the page of the
book.

If it is “Not yet very easy”,


draw 2 lines.

If it is “Very easy”,
draw 3 lines.

This technique is called “Triple Line


Instant Notes” because the goal is to have
“triple lines or 3 lines” for each topic,
section, or chapter.

So, when you start learning a subject, most


sections /topics will have a single line on
the right side of the text.

• You revise “one line” topics


frequently.
• You revise “two line” topics less
frequently.
• You revise “three lines” topics once in
3 months or perhaps never.
This is how you can control how you spend
your time in revision:

• You spend more time on topics you


don’t know
• You spend less or no time on topics
you already know well

Once you start using it daily, in a few


months, you’ll discover you are doing
better in exams and you are moving ahead
of other students. Only then will the genius
behind this simple system will be proven to
you.

But for now, trust me and start using it


from today.

The great thing is that it takes no time to


use “Instant Notes”.

However, there is one problem:


Sometimes, you don’t own your own book
or notes. If you have borrowed a book from
the library, then this technique cannot be
used.
At the same time, this simple technique
works like magic, and so I strongly
recommend you buy your own books.

Even if you cannot afford easily, find ways


to get money to buy your books so you can
take my style of notes.

I know this: If we are sure of the benefits,


we can always arrange the money needed.

Only when we are in doubt about a thing or


about our own ability, we use “no money”
as an excuse to avoid taking the
responsibility.
Technique #2

Raj Bapna’s Daily


Systematic Revision

It was by chance that I stumbled upon the


power of revision or repetition.

I was very studious.

I did not play physical games like cricket or


football.

I did not even play games like carrom or


playing cards.

I studied most of the time.

With so much time, I just re-read


everything.

I did not realize the power of revision for


many years, but I got very high marks.
For example, I got 97% marks in Sanskrit
language exam in class 8th. You know that
nobody focused on this subject, but I just
revised again and again, so I remembered
most of what they asked in exams. My
teacher was surprised to see the high
marks.

Later in the year of the board exam just


before I joined engineering, fortunately my
Physics and Chemistry teachers were wise
and chose text books that had fewer pages.

I did not like Chemistry as much as I liked


Physics.

So, here is what I did: I revised the whole


Chemistry book once in 3 days.

And did not read the full text for every


revision, but I did focus on diagrams and
equations.

And, the surprising result was that I got the


highest marks in Chemistry in Rajasthan
board and that helped me get 5th rank.
That was in 1978.

Since then, I have learned a lot about how


revision works and how to revise.

Are you ready to learn the simplest way to


revise so you’ll remember more in the
exams?

Instructions: Before you go to sleep at


night, revise quickly whatever you learned
on that day. Take about 15 minutes to do
so. You can do it in 15 minutes if you use
my instant notes and faster reading.

So, start to revise daily.

You’ll be surprised by the results.


Technique #3

Faster Reading

I first came to know about reading faster in


1983 when I was doing a project in Delhi
in Department of Electronics, Govt of
India.

The office was near the IIT Gate in Hauz


Khas, Delhi.

There was a great book store nearby.

And, one day, I found a book on reading


faster.

I was so fascinated and quickly learned to


read faster.

This single skill has helped me read over


1,000 books on subconscious mind, mind
programming, learning faster, memory,
focus, religion, and more.
Once you learn to read faster, you’ll
discover the world of books, knowing that
someone’s lifetime learnings are contained
in books and you can benefit from them.

Before you learn to read faster, you need to


find out your reading speed.

It is simple to do.

Just pick some book and open on page 50


or 100.

Time yourself and read for one minute.

Then count the number of words you have


read.

That is your reading speed.

Now, you are ready to read faster.

Instructions: Read again from the next page


of the same book assuming you are in a
hurry. You have to read as fast as you can.
Now, read for 1 minute and count the
words read.

This is your new reading speed.

Is it faster?

Most people will read 30% to 50% faster.

Just by focusing on “reading faster”.

This shows that you are capable of doing


more than what you have tried so far.

One more technique to read faster.

Instructions: As you read, just more your


finger below a line of words to guide your
eyes to read faster.

Most of you will be able to understand the


instructions about. If not, you can stop for
today and go to the next chapter tomorrow.

However, if you do understand the


instructions, please read with your finger
moving under the words of a life for one
minute.
Repeat and read for one more minute.

Read this way for 5 minutes. One minute at


a time.

Now, you are ready to measure your


reading speed again.

Most of you will find that your reading


speed has increased by 50% to 100%.

When to read faster and when not to

Read faster when you are revising a chapter


or a topic, so you can revise more and
remember more in less time.

Also, read faster when you read a


newspaper or magazine or news.

Do not read faster when you are learning


something new for the first time.
Decisions and State:
How to Be the Best
You Can Be

Today is the most important day for the rest


of your life.

What your life becomes will depend on


what you decide to do today, this week, this
month, this year, and later.

The most important thing to learn today is


that you have choices in life.

And, that you are deciding each moment


what you want to do.

You usually have many choices and you


decide what you do.

For example, most students have these


choices:
• To waste many hours each day on
social media or YouTube.
• To do physical exercise so you have
more energy to do what you want to
do.
• To do what you know is most
important for your education and
career. And, that is to focus on
studying.
• To eat well and sleep well.

Everybody knows what is right for them to


do.

But, do we do what we know is right.

Or, we do what is enjoyable and


entertaining in the moment. Even though
we are likely to be unhappy with how we
spent our time.

Most of us waste time as if it was not our


decision.

The truth is: that is right.


We are not in total control of our decisions
because we are not aware of how we make
these decisions.

Let me show you how you can be in more


control of what you decide, so you make
better decisions, and so that your life will
be more successful and happier.

First, our goals affect what we do.

If you have the goal of getting high marks


or high rank in an exam, you’ll be more
focused on studies.

Are you sure you know your exact goals?

If not, stop reading now, and spend some


time to get clear on what you want.

Second, how we feel in the moment


affects what we decide.

For example, if you are angry or frustrated,


you are more likely to waste time on
mobile or go to sleep rather than doing
exercise or focusing on studies.
You can quickly change how you feel in 3
ways:

First, your body position.

Did you notice how people sit when they


are depressed or unhappy? Or, how they sit
when they are enthusiastic and happy?

How you feel affects how you use your


body.

The other is also true: Change your body


position, and you’ll change how you feel.

So, take a moment now and put your body


in a better position.

Second, what you focus on

If you focus on what is good in your life


right now, can you find things to be happy
about? Can you find people to be grateful
to?

But, if you focus on what is not perfect yet,


can you find many?
That is true.

What you focus on affects how you feel.

Third, the words you use.

Take a moment to ask yourself how you


feel if these ideas come to your mind right
now:

• I am tired but I have to read this book.


• I am so excited and happy that I found
this book and that I am reading it
because it can change my life.

Take 5 minutes now to write down the


words you routinely use and replace them
by better words.

Decision Time

Decide that you’ll first get into a state of


good feelings before you make any
important decision.

Be aware of how you are feeling. If you are


not feeling good, then change that quickly
by changing your focus, using better words,
and using your body in the right way.

Are you feeling better now?

If yes, decide your goal. Decide if it is


important for you. Decide how important it
is.

Even if you learn nothing else from this


book, do you think just this chapter’s
learnings can make a big difference in your
life.
