 Floob and Doob Script

SCENE 1 - Slightly sad music

- Sounds of playing
Doob is in the park playing football
by himself. He sees other people
playing football together on the
field. He looks sad and kicks the
ball into his makeshift goal
repeatedly.

He is about to stop and kicks one

last time, but the ball is stopped
by someone.

A cartoon person is holding the

ball. He waves at Doob and smiles.
Doob smiles back and points to a
wall. Doob looks puzzled and follows
his to it. The cartoon person,
Floob, kicks the ball against the
wall and it bounces back to him.

Doob looks happy and starts playing - More upbeat music

against the wall.

SCENE 2

On his way out of the park later on - background music

Doob sees that one of the football - foley and park sounds
boys from earlier has got their ball
in a tree, and can’t reach it.

Doob thinks for a bit then gets an - Magic “poof” sound

idea. He concentrates and suddenly
Floob appears. The boy looks amazed.
At seeing this. Doob shows Floob the
problem, and after a moment points
to a large stick on the ground.

Doob picks it up and uses it to

knock the ball out of the tree. He
gives it back to the boy, who looks
happy. Doob leaves the park.

SCENE 3

Doob is walking home when he sees a - Background music

girl sitting upset on her doorstep.
He walks hurriedly past her but
Floob appears suddenly and looks
scoldingly at him, gesturing to the - Foley sounds
girl. Doob looks guilty and
backtracks, slowly walking over to
the girl and looking at her
questioningly as if to ask her if
she’s ok.

The girl looks up and sadly tries to

open her front door unsuccessfully,
she quickly scribbles a doddle of.
Akey on a scrap of paper, holding it
up for Doob to see with a sense of
despair.

Sped up montage as floob and doob - Funny montage music

search around the area for the
missing key.

As they search the girl watches them

then suddenly remembers something,
reaches into her coat and takes out
the key, walking into her house as
they still search.

Eventually they realise what has

happened and have a good laugh about
it. Doob resumes his walk home, the
girl watching him discreetly from
her door.

SCENE 4

Floob and Doob arrive at Doob’s

house and he waves to Floob and goes - Magic poof sound
inside, then Floob vanishes again.
SCENE 5

Doob’s Brother is sitting on the - Chiptune game sounds/music

couch playing videogames, controller
in hand.

Doob walks in and seeing another

controller he picks it up and goes
to join his brother.

Seeing this, his brother snaps at

him and puts his legs up on the
couch, taking up all the space,
smiling smugly. Doob sits down sadly
by himself and watches.

The brother soon gets frustrated

after he loses his game over nad
over again. He gets up and goes out
of the room annoyed.

Doob tentatively picks up the

controller and begins playing. After
a bit he too is getting frustrated, - Magic poof sound
so he once again summons up Floob.

With Floob’s help he quickly beats

the level, and after Floob
disappears again, his brother
returns to see that the level is
beaten. He looks happy and points to
Doob questioningly. Doob proudly
nods. His brother then lets him play
the game with him.

Floob looks on from outside the

window sadly. He droops his head and
holds his hands at his side as he
goes away from the house.

SCENE 6

Doob wakes up in his bed and - Alarm clock noise

stretched and yawns, smiling.

There is a montage as he gets ready

for the day, eats breakfast, brushes - Montage music
teeth, puts on shoes, etc.
He goes again to the park to play
football.

He kicks the ball to the goal - Football foley

expecting Floob to stop it, but
nothing happens. He looks confused
and closes his eyes, concentrating
hard on summoning Floob.

He opens his eyes and still there is

no one there. He sadly continues to
play football by himself.

Suddenly another ball rolls to his

feet and he looks up to see the boy
he helped out earlier coming to
fetch it.

The boy recognises him and smiles,

beckoning him over to his game with
his friends. - Magic poof sound

He goes over and before he begins

playing football with them all, he
tries again to summon his friend,
and this time he succeeds.
