Dack finds Ingrid Reichart, a courageous Cathar, in the middle of a fight against the vampire minions of Baron Ekhart Von Falkenrath. Dack and Ingrid escape back to her hometown, but Ingrid's father wants Dack gone. Dack opts to leave and continue on the trail of Sifa Grent, and Ingrid insists, on coming along. When they arrive at Falkenrath Manor and find no trace of Sifa, Baron Ekhart let's Dack know that he's made a terrible mistake: she amassed her troops and began an attack on Ingrid's hometown.
