Alternative Learning System

• It is the substitute that includes formal and non formal education


• The 1987 Philippine Constitution provides for the recognition and promotion of other forms of
education other than formal education.

• managed by ALS learning facilitators, such as

Non-Formal Education

Any organized, systematic educational activity carried outside the framework of the formal
system to provide selected types of learning to a segment of the population
