Description This phase is a culmination of the activities of the practicum. The students shall be
of the Lesson preparing and submit their Comprehensive Practicum Report containing the
Narrative report with the SWOT Analysis, and the case study analysis of the interns in
accordance with the established institutional format. The said report will be
defended before the members of the faculty.

Learning Outcomes
Intended Students should be able to meet the following intended learning outcomes: ● Compile
Learning and organize the weekly narrative reports with their corresponding documentations.
Outcomes ● Prepare a detailed and well-organized SWOT Analysis of the various practicum
activities.
● Prepare a basic case study analysis regarding current issues on crime prevention,
public safety, criminal justice, and correctional administration.
● Demonstrate confidence in the presentation and submission of the
Comprehensive Practicum Report before the panel of faculty.

Targets/ At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:


Objectives ● Recall and reflect on the previous internship activities that were covered by the
practicum course.
● Compile and organize your narrative reports and learning reflection with proper
documentations or attachments.
● Prepare an analysis of your practicum learning experience as to its Strengths,
Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats.
● Conduct a case research through the application of basic analysis on the different
issues confronted by the different agencies comprising the criminal justice system. ●
Present and defend your comprehensive practicum report before the panel of faculty
members of the college.
● Finalize your report based on the suggestions of the panel and submit a final copy
of it to the Dean through the practicum instructor.

A. Final Orientation & Debriefing

1. The final orientation and debriefing will be conducted to discuss to you the activities for
post immersion phase of the practicum.
2. In view of this, you are highly encourage to attend the said activity to be conducted through
a virtual platform that your practicum instructor will be scheduling.
3. During the orientation and debriefing, the following agenda/topics will be
discussed: a. Recapitulation of Practicum Activities
b. Narrative Report Compilation
c. SWOT Analysis
d. Basic Case Study Analysis
e. Defense of Comprehensive Practicum Report

B. Defense of Comprehensive Practicum Report (Research Report).


1. A defense committee will be created and organized for the purpose only of this activity that
shall be made up of regular faculty members teaching the professional subjects. 2. The
objective of this activity is to assess and evaluate the content and substance of the practicum
report submitted by an intern, and to ensure that the learning experience reflected by the
said student, during the actual immersion activities, is satisfactory. 3. Kindly look into the
contents of the Performance Task and Assessment tools for further details regarding these
activities.
4. Be guided accordingly.

1. What are the relevant activities conducted on the duration of the practicum

Performance Tasks

A. Checking of Attendance. Your attendance webinar and workshop series shall be treated as
Participation in Practicum Activities. Thus, you are expected to regularly and religiously
participate to the abovementioned activities. Kindly see the assessment tool for the
criteria-rubrics or pointing system.

B. Uniform Drills and Formations. Read the following general guidelines:


1. Watch and listen to the demonstration, whether live or recorded video that will be conducted
for your observation and learning guide.
2. Perform a return demonstration on the Basic Formations, Rank Inspection & Command
Execution via online or recorded platform.
3. The following are the skills to be demonstrated simultaneously:
a. Basic Formation (Wedge, squad, Platoon, etc.)
b. Rank Inspection (Formal & Informal)
c. Commands of Execution (Moving & Stationary Marching, Hand Salute, Formation, etc.)
4. This activity may be performed simultaneously with the PFT Exercise.
5. Check the assessment tool for the criteria-rubrics or pointing system.

C. Physical Fitness Training Exercises.


1. PFT Exercises are conducted every Thursday of the week at the time scheduled by the
Practicum instructor.
2. The purpose of this activity is to maintain physical fitness in the performance of functions
during the Practicum duration and as a preparatory to your upcoming application to any of
the Public Safety Tri-bureaus or other government agencies.
3. You are going to perform properly the One Dozen with uniform command of execution, please
see ANNEX “B” for the list.
4. This is done synchronously or in a real-time meeting via virtual/online platforms such as
google meet, zoom, WebEx, etc. as provided by your practicum instructor.
5. Perform this activity daily in different real backgrounds and attire (t-shirt and athletic shorts).
6. Check the Assessment tool for the criteria of this activity.
D. Writing a Narrative Report with Learning Reflection. Please be guided by the following format
and template for your narrative report with Learning Reflection:
1. Fill-up the templates for Narrative Report with the: (a) intern’s/ student’s detail (b) week
number, (c) duration/ covered date, (d) Narrative of Practicum Accomplishments, and (e)
Learning Reflection.
2. Narrative Reports shall be accomplished on a weekly basis, however, the Narrative of Practicum
Accomplishments should be detailed (type and description of the activity, facilitator/lecturer/
speaker, agency, transcription of events), with at least a minimum of 2 paragraphs, 10
sentences and 100 words, and should be stated chronologically.
3. The Learning Reflection should at least contain 1 paragraph, 5 sentences and 50 words, and
shall respond to the following guide questions: What new experience/s have you learned from
the activity? Why do you consider this experience as an important lesson to you? How does it
helps you become a well-molded practicum student?

4. Your output should be encoded in the MS Word (short), using Times New Roman 12, One-inch
borders, 1.08 multiple spacing, and justified alignment.
5. The final copy of your Narrative Report shall be uploaded to the Turnitin before turning-in to
the Google Classroom. The policy of PLAGIARISM ZERO TOLERANCE shall be implemented.

E. Return Demonstration and/or Presentation of Workshop Outputs


1. Watch and listen during workshop activities or actual skills demonstration by the
lecturer/facilitator.
2. Perform return demonstration of skills adapted or present outputs of workshop
activities. 3. Refer to the Assessment Tool for the criteria metric or rubric of this task.
